I know something like this has been done before on here, but I'm curious to find out what other people have that they consider a weird ocd, obsession or phobia.

For example have an extreme phobia of soiling myself- like, it disgusts me to the max. I periodically touch a cabinet, wardrobe or what ever that is made of wood- this originates from me feeling like I jinx things so the old saying, "touch wood" applies here.

Also, when I'm somewhere that smells bad, I keep my mouth closed because I'm scared the bacteria will go on my teeth.

Thanks!

ps. Infinity and nothingness really freak me out, mainly because I can't really quite comprehend the two.

i cant go into a room with sick in it, i collect anything that is connected to an out of the ordinary event (ie the centenary Irn Bru can (its the original can but a bit different), a ticket from Alton Towers) and i collect ring pulls and if i ever get chocolate buttons i need to have all the different animals. i dont know why.
i also cant clean if someone else is in the room, and when i do i have to re-alphabetise all of my CDs, DVDs and games.
also, i want to count to past the highest number someday year. s.

I'll let Iron Maiden handle this one. They're better at it...
Fear Of The Dark - Iron Maiden said:
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark

Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
Basically, while not a full-blown fear, it is a disquieting anxiety.

And spiders. Not a fan.

I don't have any phobias or obsessions, and no one has yet made me aware of any OCD tendencies. However the closest I get to a phobia is probably swimming in the ocean, If I can't see my feet or if the water is quite murky I am too uncomfortable to swim very far out. (Typical fear of the unknown)

Also Jellyfish. They are not in my realm of comfortable, but I force myself to swim near the harmless ones or even pick them up. My rational mind continuously battles the irrational so I find myself looking at a jellyfish as cute harmless living bags of water with no brain one second but then freaking if one touches me :s

i had an exgirlfriend in highschool who was seriously scared of those thoughts too. and while i have a hard time understanding it, i'm a curious person who likes to contemplate these things. just to try and wrap my head around it. to put a more personal face on it, i try to understand what it's like to NOT EXIST. we spend the moment we're born to the moment we die wrapped in an existance that is the only thing that is real. if we can then NOT exist, how can anything continue to exist? what if the world only exists cause i perceive it as such?

btw, that line of thinking, as i'm to understand, is called Solipsism.

OT: it's small, but i've i'm copy-pasting something, i have to hit ctrl+C at least 5 times before i paste. and i'm not sure why. perhaps a tragic incident involving a non copied thought.

If I eat something with similar shapes like pretzels, marshmallows, crackers, etc., I have to eat the same amount on both sides or I feel off balance. If I get down to the bottom of the bag and there's three marshmallows, I'll over one to someone. "Hey, you want a marshmallow?"

I have a slight OCD attitude to wash my hands when it really isn't necessary, which is especially wierd when I'm not nearly as obssessive with any other aspect of my personal hygiene. It's illogical, but I guess I've kinda fallen into a pattern. I'm also rather anthrophobic.

I think I already posted this somewhere, but hey, people are always amused by my phobia, so here it goes; I'm afraid of buttons (the ones on clothes, not computer buttons or something). It's called koumpounophobia so look it up. I can't stand buttons (the standard plastic ones, metal buttons don't bug me, weird enough) and I can't wear anything that has them. Touching or hugging a person that has buttons on his/her clothes is something I try to avoid at all costs, which makes me look like I detest the person if they don't know about the phobia. If I ever get a job where I'd be required to wear a uniform with buttons, I'd have to turn down the job, because buttons horrify me and I can't concentrate on anything if I have them on me. I just wish to know what kind of a brain glitch causes such a stupid phobia.

I hate the number...1 and 3. I dare not directly mention it. I attempt to avoid it if I can.

Also I am terrified of spiders. And I'm not afraid of the dark. It's what my mind keeps making up to be in the dark that scares me.

I don't wear buttons(on my shirts), but that's just because I don't like how they feel.

I'm not a big fan of anime shows or cartoons that have characters that defy the laws of physics. I didn't like Dragonball Z when I was little because the characters could fly and they're on a physical plane of existence. I like the show Bleach, because they're not exactly on a physical plane, so it doesn't bother me.

I also like have my music in a certain order when I burn CDs. I burn CDs of videogame soundtracks or remixes, and I will group the songs together based on what game it's from. (Example: Metroid music, then Kirby music, then Portal soundtracks, ect. . .) I also tend to over detail things when writing, or explaining something, or drawing (especially when I try to correct some little detail so many times that I end up causing the paper to rip from erasing so many times.)

I also will save a file multiple times just to ensure that it is saved.

The alarm on my phone, my alarm clock, the volume of the phone and the volume of the TV all have to end in odd numbers. I also hang my clothes so they all face the same way (to the right).

I'm afraid of heights, but I love doing stuff that includes going up and jumping down. Rock climbing, bouldering, that junk.

I have a weird obsession with making sure my curtains are in a specific way, and I can "sense" if they're in the wrong place. It's kind of hard to explain but if someone touches my curtains I really freak out.

I'm completely OCD about my books. I have to have them in order from largest to smallest and I don't let anyone borrow them, especially after my dad's wife borrowed my copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and it came back with water stains on the pages and the cover was all bent around the edges.
And I'm terrified of frogs and toads, I have no idea why. There was one sitting in front of the door to my apartment complex and it took every ounce of self-control I had to not scream and to step over it to get inside.

A light case of germaphobia.

I have no fear of "normal" germs, I'll hang out with friends that are horrifically sick with the flu or a cold. Instead, I'm freakishly paranoid about bodily fluids of people that I don't know have been tested clean. I don't share drinks or food and have a miniature panic attack if a friend of mine shares such with a stranger.

So I guess I'm most paranoid about chronic and incurable conditions, herpes being the most easily spread...

Mild phobia of undead girls, particularly with long, dark hair... So, yes, pretty much this.

I keep wondering if, in addition to Creepers, spiders, and Slenderman, we'll see something that announces itself with a death rattle/creaky door noise in Minecraft.

I cannot sleep in an unmade bed. I've actually been known to get out of bed and make it just to get back in because I made it too messy the first time. Apparently I get it from my Mom because 75% of my relatives from her side are the same way.

Also I get annoyed if someone leaves a tv on in the other room, even if its "silent." My roommate in college had a habit of forgetting the TV on when he went out after using his PS3. That would leave it on the blue screen with no sound but I could still hear the tubes buzzing in the TV. Such is the difficulty of having freakishly good hearing.

Oh, I remember another. I have a fear of ladders. I'm not afraid of heights just climbing a ladder. Put me in a lift or give me some stairs and I'm fine but god help you if I have to climb a ladder more than 2 steps.
