>Rich: With your JET-PACK trailing the flames of freedom and democracy and totally not communism, you find yourself approaching a GLASS VILLAGE. Yep, it's a village made out of glass.

Looking down, you can see a bunch of IMPS running all over the place, getting into mischief and torturing the locals. You see a single OGRE in what appears to be the village square, smashing a particularly large building.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Future Dirk: You successfully manage to pass the SMALL KEY off to Greg, whilst still being hugged by Chas. Man, that guy gives long hugs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Xavier: In the next room, you encounter a FIENDISHLY DIFFICULT PUZZLE.

Which presents itself in the form of a riddle.

In the room, one of the walls has been inscribed with all 26 letters of the alphabet, 10 numbers, and various symbols from diverse languages. You briefly wonder how you can carve something into a cloud.

You also see a riddle carved next to the letters and stuff.

"First is first in night, last in morn.
Second is found in a blade, but not a sword.
Third is Z minus J."

So, this is kind of for everyone. What do you think of the puzzles I'm throwing in the dungeons? I mean, should I keep at them (Hopefully getting more creative as time goes by) or should I drop them in favor of throwing hordes of enemies at you?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Greg: The DOOR pops open, although the SMALL KEY is destroyed in the process. Aw.

As you step through the now-open passage, another door slams down directly behind you, this one with no markings or keyholes. Uh-oh.

The rest of the room is kind of vacant. You can see another door, also closed, heading NORTH. Other than that, the room is pretty much empty...

A shadowy form suddenly appears in the middle of the room, slowly solidifying into something very, very real. Standing about seven feet tall, the creature possesses long lanky arms, ending in a pair of long serrated claws. Its body, colored in varying shades of black, lacks legs, instead ending in a curved, serpentine tail. The only feature the monster has, a large white mask where its face should be, is carved into a macabre parody of a harlequin's laughing face.

The creature slowly advances towards you, raising a claw into the air.

>Greg:Deal with new creature

Well your options aren't very good. You can't exactly leave the way you came because it seems to have locked behind you and you have no way to open it back up.And the only other door is behind the creature that now seems to be advancing on you.Hmm...well peace before war..

You throw your hands up toward the creature to show it you are not armed and tell it that you don't mean to cause any trouble and that you come in peace.

Of course, you doubt that will work.It hasn't before. But you feel you should atleast try.

As for the puzzles..I'd say keep doing what you are doing. You haven't made any of us go crazy yet(oh course...I could always be wrong on that bit :p )

>Rich: Aid villagers with the power of rock.

You shower the OGRE in pure, unbridled inspiration, in the form of deadly sonic blasts. You circle-strafe him as you do so, using the MIDNIGHT JETPACK to hover at a height that appears to be just out of his reach.

While I have yet to encounter your FIENDISHLY DIFFICULT PUZZLES, variety is never a bad thing. I say keep it up.

>Greg: The monster reacts to your plea for peace by grabbing its head, and spinning it around, revealing a visage etched with unearthly fury and hatred. That's probably a no.

The creature rushes you, swiping at you with one of its dangerously sharp claws.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Rich: Your attacks deal significant damage to the OGRE, distracting him from his destruction. You find that sonic attacks are quite effective against underlings of Derse.

You also find that OGRES can jump quite high, as the monster is able to leap up and smack you out of the air, slamming you into the ground. As the glass cracks and shatters under you, you take some damage.

HEALTH VIAL: 86%

Well, if you weren't crazy before we started this RP (I'm quite certain that at least 3 of us were) then you probably are by this point.

>Greg:Dodge Creature's attack

You narrowly dodge the creature's attack.Man this thing is an eternal nightmare or something.

You ready your STEEL KATANA.You think now might be a good time to put some of your SPACEY STUFF to good use.

You rush at the creature and attempt SCHERZO STEP.Here is hoping it doesn't kill you.

>Greg: You find yourself briefly enshrouded by a green glow, obscuring your vision and giving you a tingly feeling. The next thing you know, you're standing directly behind the creature, facing it's back. Looks like you've got the perfect opportunity for a sneak attack.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Benndak: Don't blow up the United Nations. We need them around to UNnazi the world in a few years.

>Chas: Your current location, due to its complete lack of enemies/puzzles/objectives is quite unsuitable for powerleveling.

Also, here's an updated MAP.

>Greg:Sneak Attack

Ok that was weird...but also slightly awesome. If your future powers are going to be like this you may come to like Spacey powers alot.Time to try out your other ability now that you have an opening.

Time to LEGATO SLASH into the creatures back.

>Team Aldirk (Assuming Future Dirk allows himself to be dragged along): Entering the next room, you find yourselves facing a pair of OGRES.

Other than said enemies, the only distinguishing feature of this room is a large crack running vertically along the WEST wall. There's another door (Shut, by the way, with no keyhole) leading NORTH.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Greg: As you perform a LEGATO SLASH, the monster moves impossibly fast, dodging your blade. As it spins to face you, however, it roars in pain as a bloody wound tears open its back, in the exact place you were aiming for.

Huh. How about that.

The creature slashes at you with a claw. Although you're able to dodge most of it, the tip tears through your clothes, leaving a long scratch along your arm. HEALTH VIAL: 85%

>Greg:Deal with pain

You flinch at the pain you feel as the blade leaves a long scratch along your arm and tears up your shirt. You look down at remains of your AWESOME PHOENIX SHIRT and feel your FURY meter increase. You liked that shirt damnit!

Ok,no mister nice guy.Time for this creature to feel the wrath of the Knight of Space!

You call out to the creature that you tried to be nice but if it wants a fight, then it had better be willing to face the consequences of it's actions.

You try a SCHERZO STEP/LEGATO SLASH combo, this time aiming for the blades the creature uses.

>Greg: You again find yourself surrounded by that green light, and appear behind the monster. Your attack cuts the creature far deeper than it should be able to. You manage to slice off one of its claws, leaving a bloody stump.

You notice that you're starting to breathe heavily, although your enemy is in far worse shape.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Chas: The OGRES seem to ignore you, and only focus their attacks on Future Dirk.

>Greg:Finish the creature off

You stand there for a second, now noticing that you seem to be breathing heavily, although your enemy is in far worse shape. You dealt a nasty blow to the creature, but it still is up.Not for long.

You tell the creature that you are sorry for what must come, but it has brought this upon itself.

You give a bow of respect to the creature, take a deep breath, then charge at the creature and LEGATO SLASH it as hard as you can.

And yet...just before the SLASH lands you stop and just stare at the CREATURE.You ask it if it still wishes to fight.

>Rich: Get up.

Okay.

>Rich: Have brilliant plan.

Brushing off the shattered shards of glass - luckily, you seem to have avoided any serious injury - you quickly find a glass building to duck inside. The building seems to have a front door, a back door, and a roof; in other words, all the components key to your plan.

>Xavier: PONDER, PONDER LIKE YOU NEVER PONDERED BEFORE
"First in night, last to morn."
A crypt keeper, perhaps? Surely, no one would wouldn't hire a man easily prone to tears to protect a graveyard from robbers.
"Found in a blade, but not a sword."
Handle, obviously handle...At least you think so.
"Third is Z minus J."
...16? You're pretty sure its 16.

>Xavier: Arrange it in that order

>Chas: You unleash truly stealthy violence. By shooting bright beams of multicolored light at the OGRES. Probably whilst shouting some ostentatious battle-cry. Because that's exactly the kind of thing you would do.

The OGRES take significant damage, but are still standing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Greg: You find that you are unable to stop your LEGATO SLASH after already using it. A large slash appears across the creature's mask, shattering it.

The creature fades back into the shadows, and the doors slide open.

Level up! Level 18 Fencing Youth! +2 Boonbucks.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Rich: Yep, that's a building alright.

As you run inside, the OGRE is unable to follow you into the small space. He begins smashing on the outside of the building, causing several large cracks to appear.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Xavier: Although you are able to depress the carved letters and numbers, much like buttons, nothing happens when you push them in that order.

Maybe you could get some help...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Years in the future, but not many: Hmm, it seems that this fellow is having a rather difficult time with a riddle. Maybe you could give him some help.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>Xavier: You're suddenly struck by the notion that each part of the riddle refers to a letter, so that the final answer would be a three letter word.

>Greg:Collect Spoils

You collect your treasure from the battle and just sigh to yourself, your FURY meter seems to be bleeding out.Is violence all there is in this place? It sure seems like it.

You shake yourself out of your stupor,as you have no time or place for that right now.You walk over to the DOOR to the NORTH of where you came in and, after a moment of hesitation, open the DOOR and step into the ROOM.

>Rich: Reconsider.

Your plan hinged on the OGRE being inside the building! Your inability to judge the proper-sized door for an OGRE to pass through has resulted in your own trap being sprung against you!

>Rich: Make like a tree.

You get the fuck out of there.

Unfortunately, this still leaves the problem of the OGRE and his nefarious cohorts! You would rocket a hundred meters away and start sniping them, but you're willing to bet at least a few of them have projectile weapons, probably with superior range to your CHAMPION'S BULLETBOOM! Looks like you'll have to improvise.

>Rich: Re-engage.

You fly over the damaged building to re-engage the OGRE! You descend and resume your circle-strafing, but this time, stay low to the ground. You have a new plan - you hope that maybe, just maybe, the glass buildings will refract and/or reflect the image of yourself into several different images all around the OGRE, leaving him disoriented and confused! Then maybe you can whittle his health bar down to nothing.
