I wonder how less common the trolling would have been if we....I don't know, never started glorifying trolls. (on Wikileaks' end. Everyone knows that Westbro are just demonstrating the glory of trolling a loose first amendment.)

So I'm pretty much disappointed with both WikiLeaks and anyone who's *ever* supported trolling. Roll it down the hill and you can't complain when it eventually hits something you care about.

Steve Jobs had a big part in getting Michael Eisner out of Disney. If that's not God's work, I don't know what is.

....but linking fake medical records stating Steve Jobs had HIV just after he passed away from a real illness like cancer just shows a complete lack of respect
Wow, that is incredibly poor wording. Makes it sound like HIV isn't a real illness, which is something that some anti-gay activists (not the Phelps, they're emphatically pro-AIDS) actually say.

And how is this any different to the sort of things they said about him while he was alive?

At least they stick with what they actually believe, which is more than can be said for most of the "Even though I bash Apple and harass anyone who doesn't I'm still sorry he died honest." suck-ups that have sprouted up here.

Is this wikileaks thing new? Wasn't this originally leaked in 2009 and wikileaks said that it was probably fake at the time.
Ok, this just rolled past, and no one noticed? If you actually *read* the Wikileaks Twitter, the *VERY NEXT TWEET* says "We have not released Steve Jobs medical records. Do try reading before writing."

So, I did the unthinkable. I actually looked at the page in question! And guess what? It was a page investigating the validity of the documents, and the arguments for and against their veracity.

And the conclusion it comes to is: "As Apple, Inc's stock price depends in part on the health of Mr. Jobs, stock speculators are motivated to introduce information critical of Mr. Jobs health.

Due to the contradictory dates, possible evidence of forgery, strong motivations for fabrication, and few motivations for a legitimate revelation, the images should not be taken at face value."

Dear Escapist:

Please stop posting articles about WBC. It's only about a dozen stupid trolls. They just want attention. Every time somebody puts an article about some stupid thing WBC is doing on their front page, the trolls win.

Knock it off.

Personally, I'm waiting for the old bastard himself, Fred Phelps, (Maybe margie too) to finally die and for a massive protest to erupt when they do the funeral. I can already see them trying ot get a protest against Fred banned but the courts have clear precedence... and I doubt that group that counter protests the WBC will bother ot show up. I hope we have a massive gay pride event spontaneously erupt right by the old bastards tombstone.
I'd just be satisfied with a massive crowd chanting "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goobye!" throughout the length of the service.

Maybe while holding up rainbow flags.

If only this had been legit trolling, it would have been beautiful.
But now, it's just yet another religious nut yelling crazy things to everyone within earshot.
*sigh*

Doesn't the Bible have some particular words on disrespecting the dead...or am I confusing that with something else? Ah well, dead tired and this article woke me the hell up.

Honestly, WBC? I mean really? Someone's gonna get a WHOLE lot of humble pie when they die...

Right enough of this shit.

Forced euthenasia anyone?
Better Idea! Form a crazed mob with torches, shotguns, and pitchforks.
I mean the KKK run counterprotests and Hells Angels shield the families of solders from them. I think it is safe to say that nobody would miss them at all. I'm surprised that nobody has tried to do anything to them.
Wait. Did you just make me stand on the same side of an issue as the Klan and feel a little less loathing for that pack of bigots? I need a shower now....I feel so unclean.

I know you're just trying to pay your respect to Jobs in your own way, WBC, but this isn't what Apple meant by "think different."

Apologies if someone else has already come up with this idea.

The perfect action for Apple to take if the asshats show up to picket Steve Jobs' Funeral.

Cancel their iTunes and any other accounts they may have with Apple. Every single one of them. And then refuse to allow them to create new ones. They will be doing the WBC a favor by permanently removing any possibility that their church or its members may in anyway be tainted by the presence of something Steve Jobs may have had a hand in creating.

Nope. You're right. The Bible teaches love to everyone, especially those that might be considered "ungodly". WBC is a fringe group of radicals that use the title of "Christian" as a front for their own sideways beliefs. The irony about this whole thing that that these WBC people don't appear to believe anything that the religion they claim to believe in actually teaches. As a result, if anyone is going to hell for their actions in life, it's the pastor of WBC. (I seem to recall the Bible talking about a special place in Hell reserved for those that lead other Christians astray)

Now that that's out of my system, think I'll go pray for their souls. Only God knows how much they need it.

A man created the iphone. Not God. Even if you believe that God created man, that still means man created iphone.

These people seem to think that we're all mindless automatons being manipulated by God. If so, we're nothing but soulless avatars and thus have no free will.

These people throw that word around to explain something they can't, it's like saying "A wizard did it".

NO. How about you stop using a device created by a man who "gave God no glory & taught sin" and stop being a dumbass hypocrite.

Yes, I also did as you did, and read the supposed claims. Turns out it was just a reference to basically a rumor, and it gives caution to suspect forgery in the document, and Assange or Wikileaks never actually said he had HIV.

So basically the fucking media is spinning this to get iTards to hate wikileaks for no legitimate reason. Information age? I think not. Ignorance age is more fitting.

Also, Escapist teaming Wikileaks with Westboro Baptist Church? I lost brain cells after reading the headline. WTF Escapist.

FOR THE IMPERIUM OF APPLE!

While I didn't like Apple products due to how they pretty much sell you the same thing just smaller, it is a shame that Jobs died so young. What the Worthless Bastard Cult is doing is disgusting as always.
