I agree with you, this bird would make a great fighting/flying type. I think GF thought otherwise...

Dovely - Tranquill - Unfezant (male pheasant/peacock, female secretary bird)

Oh, and I will also second the Glaucus Atlanticus. That thing is awesome. Add that to my list...

Dalmatian
Saluki
Howler Monkey
Joey (baby kangaroo)
Numbat
Ibex

For Joey, I'll accept Kanghaskhan's baby in the pouch, but that pokemon is never used. It's more aesthetic than anything, and a useable pokemon would be nice.

Edit 1 - Well, that's a fail on my part. Dovely...doves...that just sailed over my head. Still, even if GF had just doves in mind, there still is a resemblance. The Secretary Bird would probably need a different color scheme, but it could still work.

Ok cos im a huge sucker for marine life here is my wishlist of the following -

1. A cool Nudibranch pokemon (cos the one from diamond pearl was just shit)
2. Christmas Worm
3. Xooxanthellie (basically algae)
4. Stingray (Water Poinson)(they have had a manta ray (ITS DIFFERENT))
5. Seaweed (water grass)
6. Eel
7. Sea Cucumber (Hell yea it will be the new magicarp for shittness :D )
8. Lionfish
9. Whale-shark (no wailmer and wailord dont count they were plain old whales)
10. Plankton (cyto and phyto)
they did 1, and it was actually cool, they could add an evo to it.

#2 they kind of did in third gen, lileep.

#6, yes they did two of those.

I think A LOT of people should not be posting in this thread, they obviously don't understand the point of it, there are a lot more pokemon since the first two generations, three FULL generations worth infact.

DO NOT POST HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN ALL POKEMON FROM EVERY GAME.

Hm...well maybe we should count plants and minerals too since Pokemon has been doing both for a long while now. As for animals, I don't think they've done an Orangutan yet. I think they also skipped Sphinx, Trolls, characters of the Hiragana and, Katakana alphabet, Angler fish, mosquitoes, horseflies, horse shoe craps (Kabuto is not one)...That's all I've got though...
We have Angler Fish, Lanturn.

This could be argued to be an Orangutan.

Shinx is named for but has limited characteristics with a sphinx.
http://serebii.net/pokedex-dp/403.shtml

Is this a troll?
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-bw/534.shtml
Snorelax blocks bridges. That's troll-like behavior.

Why is Kabuto not a horseshoe crab?
He just needs a tail. Diglett doesn't even have limbs but it's called a mole.

I can only think through the first two gens, but the more unlike-lies I'll nominate are a squid, Kiwi, parrot, rabbit, sharks(?), chickens/hens, zebras, tigers, centipede, dingos, leeches.....that's the extent of my current knowledge.

Let me know if those have actually been done in the more redundant series. :p
Giant bipedal Chicken.

Shark
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/319.shtml

Centipede
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-bw/545.shtml

Arguably a parrot.
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/441.shtml

Bunny
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Lopunny_(Pokémon)

Tiger
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/243.shtml

Zebra
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-bw/523.shtml

Leeches, squids, and dingos I can't pick out.
Although I don't know what the hell Dunsparce [http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/206.shtml] is supposed to be.

Dunsparce means in Japanese: He who has heavenly wings, yet cannot soar, and there is no actual animal which dunsparce is based off of, but it is based on the mythical creature the

I have seen all the pokemon, I just cant remember EVERY SINGLE ONE off the top of my head.

Either way I still had 7 viable suggestions (well how viable a seacucumber would be is an entirely different matter)

Currently, they have not done:
Kiwi
Scarab beetle
Beaver
Weasel?
Raccoon
Lemur
Coyote
Meerkat
Ocelot
Armadillo
That's all I can think of.
EDIT: Porcupine and Hedgehog as well.

A pretty self explanatory question.

The one's I can think of
Clownfish
Hamster
Komodo Dragon
Dolphin
Naked mole rat? That would be fun to see how many kids get scarred for life.

Cerberus, Satyr, Cockatrice, Basilisk, Pegasus, and Floating Eye for fictional creatures.

Pirates, Sea Urchins, and Constrictor (as opposed to venomous snakes) for real things.

Oh well, Someone will refute something on that list I am certain. I'd wager Dratini/Dragonair are more Chinese myth-dragons than constrictors.

You know, 97% of this thread is Ancient Greek to me. I have absolutely no idea who most of these pokemon are.

Still, I shall comply with the topic and write down my best guess: a mite. Or a louse.

You all forgot the most obvious man looking pokemon. Machop and its evs. They have not done a Hamster or a tyrannosaurus rex. And they haven't done a dolphin.

Man. Seriously, there's not one pokemon that resembles a man. Unless you count Ditto that cute pink slime critter who can appear to look like anything it wishes. Not even sure if it has a gender or not at all.
Mr. Mime, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Machamp and his evolutions, Jynx....and uhh....idk

A bit behind the times, I'm sure some bug types would resemble the scarab, they've done beavers and racoons, and armadillo was covered in the first generation

There has never been a squid pokemon, much to my frustration. I mean come on, you'll make a bunch of different dog pokemon but not one freaking squid? I mean, it's not like it would even be hard to make a giant tentacled creature into a pokemon. It's practically already done for you!

In fact, I don't think there's been a nautilus Pokemon. Cephalopods are tragically underrepresented in Pokemon

I guess they've done everything then. It's no doubt the creators have gotten a list of everything living thing around and made multiple Pokemon variations on all of them.

Maybe they're afraid of what the internet would do with such a pokemon? and understandably so :X.
