Best game this year so far is Total War Shogun 2. It's not a 10/10 by any means, especially when you reach the 'Realm Divide' part.

Also, best game in history was Ape Escape for PS1. The British version.

Stop saying there's no perfect games! It's an opinion!

In my opinion, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a perfect game.

Hmm, perfect games... UmJammer-Lammy was perfect for me, simple UI, simple mechanics that were difficult to master, just plain fun.

Other than that, my natural state is being discontent so there aren't any others.

I have to say this but at the time the strike games were awesome fun to play urban strike, jungle strike etc. I played them all when I was a little girl and I never had any complaints :p Would probably be more judgemental now but they did thier job and I had fun.

Yoshi's Island and the 2 Baldur's Gates are pretty amazing games also.

final fantasy 7 is just awesome everything about it was lovely and well though out, what happened guys? :(

Yea, there are no games I've played that I couldn't point out any faults at. That being said, there ARE some games that the faults are rendered almost meaningless by the rest of the awesome game.

Halo 2- IMO, the best Halo single player ever, and the multiplayer was like crack....despite the balance issues caused by it being a bit rushed.

Call of Duty 4- Just an all around fantastic game....though it's campaign was a tad bit too short, and there were some serious balance issues multiplayer-wise.

Mass Effect 2- Just about everything I want in a game....and planet probing, but post-patch, it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Yea, those are the only games I could give a "10/10", though Warcraft 3 and KotOR are both damn close.

I'm sure they've been said a few times(well, some of them):

Suikoden 2/5(1 was rough, 3 was good, but not perfect, and I like to pretend 4 never happened)
FF IX
Fallout 1/2(I actually played them long after their release, was blown away with how amazing they could be after playing much more technically advanced games)

I've played them all within the past year, so it's not just nostalgia. I had some others I might have listed, but I haven't played them in a long time, so I'm worried I might just be remembering how cool they were back in the day, when I had less expectations for games.

With CTR and Zeno Clash being at the top. :D

Damn ninja!

IX does not have a single flaw to my mind
I will jump on you two ninjas also.
IX. Little else needs saying.

Tales of Symphonia flies pretty damn close too.

If I was to actually write a review, I'd never give ANY game 10/10, because I don't believe that any game is truly perfect. But I try to write reviews as objective as possible.
But as a FAN, pretty much most franchises I follow will have at least one 10/10 game in my book.

Silent Hill 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Final Fantasy VIII
Persona 3
Persona 4
Resident Evil Remake on NGC
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Mass Effect 2
Disgaea
Uncharted 2

I have a feeling that the new Mortal Kombat will be a 10 in my book as well.

Mine are portal, Moder Warfare 2, and GTA San Andreas
Portal because it was smart funny and didnt over stay its welcome
Modern Warfare 2 because it was FUN and everyone who hates on it should take a step back from reality and realize that you play a game to have a good time.
San Andrea because it was the first game were I thought there was nothing you couldnt do

Absolutely none. And I doubt I'll ever find one. Closest, maybe, was Banjo Kazooie?
Yep. Penultimate games come around every once in a while - Portal, Braid, Bioshock, Half-Life, the Super Mario titles, what have you - but they always, always, have at least one thing holding them back from genuine 100%-as-good-as-it-can-be greatness. Usually several things.

Oh. Wait. VVVVVV. I'd say that's my only 10/10. There was nothing I could nitpick about that game. Others could, sure, but that's mine.

Chrono Trigger Because it was the only JRPG I could play and not get bored to death! (and had an AMAZING story)

Jak 2 Because it was the best platformer I have ever played! (Ratchet and Clank was close...)

Tales of the Abyss is defiantly a 10/10 game for me. actually its my only 10/10 cause after playing it i set up as the standard for a perfect game (i doubt itll ever be overthrown and im not sure if itll ever be tied either)
