All the good mods made official.

Mart's Mutant Mod, Fallout Wanderer's Edition/Arwen's Realism Mods, Realistic Weather, Realistic Weapons (yes, being shot in the head really does fuck up your plans for the morning), Realistic Gore, backpacks, Fellout (and the darker nights mod), and a lot more of the adult content from the original games (damnit I demand the option of becoming a post-apocalyptic porn star!!).

Kill Karma as it makes no sense, make it completely about reputation with various factions. Also if you do commit a crime against a group, someone should have to see you do something. If I kill a whole group of Caesar's legion and no one survives then no one knows who did what. I wonder what Florida would look like in a fallout game.

I want a good few years before it's released.

I never got vegas, and when i borrowed it off a mate i must have played it for 2 minutes before i got bored and descided it was just the same old game. Granted i didn't get fallout 3 for at least a year after release, but a big game like fallout needs a nice break between games, like with the elder scrolls series.

Ps: the game world got boring after 1 apocolyptic wasteland based game

Big Iron

And yeah, getting negative karma for stealing from the raiders I just slaughtered needs to die a painful death.

I don't want another Fallout. As good as they've been, the studio is squandering their talents on just one concept. Branch out a little.

Get rid of fucking Gamebryo.
I'm sure they will use the Creation Engine that Skyrim is using I really want to see what a Fallout game can do with that. Just stay true to the lore and make a wide open world with a number factions.
Creation Engine. lol. Why does it look just like the Gamebryo, if it's supposed to be this totally new engine ?
What they've done, is they've taken the engine they used for Oblivion, F3 and New Vegas... and THROWN IT OUT THE WINDOW!!

They've created a whole new engine for Skyrim, and popular belief is that they'll adapt it for their next Fallout.

Onyx Oblivion

A much bigger radio selection of officially licensed songs.

Fallout 3's level scaling to return. Railroading the player for the first 10-15 hours is not good game design in an open world, Obsidian.

VATS to be more useful at long ranges.

Karma system totally removed.

Less children.

Have it like minecraft randomly generated with different biomes, yes this would be hard, but hey its still pretty cool just try to get it accurately as possible. Or atleast give us the ability to create a shelter or plac-able buildings. These would be very fun to say the least with the ability to destroy or blow holes into said building or blow holes into other buildings.
Just think about it, an enemy is behind a wall and you have a power fist.

All I want is a better engine, and WAY fewer bugs. I'll leave other improvements to the professionals.

New York City and a motorcycle. That's all I want.
Have half of Manhatten under water, and plenty of sky-bridges connecting the various buildings, and I'd be happy.

I just want it to be set in New York. Also I'd like to find out more about the Commonwealth and the Institute, maybe even go there (fingers crossed!).
It's funny you mention rain though, since a surprising amount of AAA RPGs don't have weather, whereas the earliest example of weather in a game I can think of was back in 2001, so you'd think it would be pretty commonplace these days.
Then again, it needs to be done well of course. Take sandboxes like GTA or Saint's Row which have rain, but that same rain also makes it harder to see ahead, so driving becomes (even more) frustrating and driving mission difficulty starts varying on the weather forecast. -.-

I heard about an idea floating around about playing a British armoured column falling back to Britain across europe while avoiding nukes, killing the chinese and destroying paris (ok the last one was my idea but if you're in paris in a tank, you would).

A Statue of Liberty missing an arm, another Brotherhood stronghold fortified there. Some actual boats. A city built atop the Brooklyn Bridge. Queens would kind of be the boonies.
