plenty of side quests like in FO3 that don't link to the main quests,as well as a larger soundtrack so we aren't hearing the same song twice in 3 minutes.i guess a different engine would be nice if only because it would make things more interesting to look at.and a wide selection of weapons like in NV.FO3's selection was so small, but i don't know about any of the other Fallout games.also, boss fights (that's one thing i DO know about the older Fallout titles, they had boss fights).and i guess that's all i need to be happy

Time for a long list.

Dual Wielding weapons. Small arms and melee. I really want to use a shishkebab with a machete or a 9mm, or even two other guns, probably as a perk that lets you do this.

An area with weather, they showed they can do it in Honest Hearts.

A pet creature that is not a dog. I WANT A FUCKING PET NIGHTSTALKER DAMMIT.

More higher level perks. They cap out at 30 in New Vegas, but I don't want anything like the Nuke perk in 3.

Companions for more than one faction. There are no real characters that I know of in New Vegas that are accepting of being on the Legions side.

Even more awesome DLC. They did a great job with all of the New Vegas ones.

A character more like the Lone Wanderer, as in one that is a completely blank slate, or someone with set past and has some people who are friends with him. I do hate how the Courier has a past that doesn't even come up. Sure you can say that he doesn't remember them because the hold bullet in head-itis, but still the fact that no one from your past shows up, when you probably lived in the Mojave, and no one but Ulysses has any connection to you and he is going to be in DLC only, kinda irks me.

The ability to be ghoulified or start as a ghoul.

There, that is all I can think of right now.

EDIT: I thought of another one. More morally gray quests.

Less clunky shooting. Whenever i hit the Shoot button, i want bullets to come out immediatly. Alor of the time, it lags.

For weather, get a mod. Easy as that. I want vehicles, destroyable environments, better gunplay, and it to be not at all like FNV.

More holotapes. I'm extremely fascinated by the Fallout universe's history and would love to hear different stories of people during that time period.

Also; a main character who is more personally connected to the storyline and has a past. Fallout 3 did this well, but NV's protagonist was incredibly flat and unmotivated. Why should I want revenge? I honestly did not care about the whole shooting me in the head thing, they never gave me a reason to. I love that the courier is getting more of a background story with the add-ons, but all of it feels as if it should have been the focus of the main game from the get-go.

Eh, who am I kidding? I'm going to play the hell out of any new Fallout game that comes out, even if it doesn't have exactly what I want in it. I am a love-struck fool for this universe.

Better Engine, Durp
A London Setting or a Paris setting, that would be interesting to go to places around there.
Better Moral meter, no Reputation meter
A faster way of transport, besides fast-travel. Like a mount, horse, radscorpion, death claw.
A better Introduction, New Vegas' sucked

Yeah, not much to ask for really if you think about it. It all exists just needs application. Well except the awesome Settings.

To all those suggesting a setting outside of the U.S., no it's NEVER going to happen. Never. If you'd know anything about the lore you'd know why. I honestly cannot fathom how idiotic that would be.

On-Topic: Obsidian Entertainment. They know how to actually make a good Fallout game, unlike Bethesda.

Ditch the karma meter in favor of reputations. It's a much better system and the karma meter seemed tacks on to give the ending minor changes.

Have Fallout 3's level of interesting and fun exploration and New Vegas level of interesting and compelling story.

Have more unique weapons.

Ditch Gamebryo. The creation engine looks far better.

Free-roam after the ending. There really was no reason they couldn't add a post-game.

Ability to play as a ghoul or super mutant'd be cool, but not something I'd be clamoring for.

A motorcycle, a machine gun that shoot lighting covered nails and fifty foot, fire breathing moose because I keep on saying that it should take place in Canadia!

Made by Bethesda so it will actually be good.

An actual city. Most the "city" parts of DC were roadblocked off, so it was linear. Same with city with the death claws. New Vegas was just a joke.

If you are going to have a karma system (and other systems like crafting in NV), make them actually do something. Karma in NV was completely meaningless and in F3 is changes your companion options and which people hunted you (so a clothing change basically)...

Not really. All they needed to say was that "change takes time" or something like and give a little dialogue that eluded to the endings you earned.

Karma did actually affect your companion options in NV. It also did what it was supposed to; albeit kinda broken.

And do pray tell what made Fallout 3 a better Fallout game than New Vegas.

Which would undermine the choices you made throughout the game, and what exactly are they supposed to do with the post-game map? Pretend that the battle for the Dam never happened? Please.

Fallout games end. Simple as that. Bethesda were the ones who funked up on that one.

Have it like minecraft randomly generated with different biomes, yes this would be hard, but hey its still pretty cool just try to get it accurately as possible. Or atleast give us the ability to create a shelter or plac-able buildings. These would be very fun to say the least with the ability to destroy or blow holes into said building or blow holes into other buildings.
Just think about it, an enemy is behind a wall and you have a power fist.
ooo that idea sounds awesome. Destructible environments. Honestly that sounds amazing.

Get rid of fucking Gamebryo.
Boom. Skyrim's Creation Engine. Gonna be fuckin RAD.

Also, I'd like a rideable vehicle. Preferably a wicked motorcycle.

Limiting to two companions at a time can stay, but no more "One Creature, One Humanoid". Ed-e and Rex need to get along, dammit.

Continued mod support. Fallout's a big game. There should be room for a little game customization.

More easily navigable caves and vaults. Like, I get it, explore. But goddammit, the next time I find myself walking around in circles in vault 34, it's gonna start to really grate on my roleplaying a high int/per character.

More big setpieces. Say what you will about Fallout 3. Liberty Prime was AWESOME. As in it created awe. Also, alot of dead enclave.

Less color filters. Jesus, everything in the capital wasteland is green, brown green, and green/brown. And the Mojave's just various combinations of orange and brown. Overall, a bluer sky and some weather effects would be ballin.

Less "run here and talk" quests. "Return to Sender" was an amazing tale of a broken old warrior who's beginning to lose faith in his effort. But completing it will mean fast traveling like a bajillion times. It's like 10 minutes worth of load screens.

Also, less load screens.
