City of Heroes, I'm playing the demo. I'm really considering it being my new MMO but I'm still a bit iffy about it.
I've on the 2-week trial too. It's nice, but it sucks that I don't have access to some of the things that would make my life a lot easier. DO you know how hard it is to get help from anyone when you're not allowed to broadcast?

Tried the new X-Men Origins: Wolverine demo which has made me save up for the full version right now. It felt awesome...

I've been playing some StarFox Command and Mario Kart DS with my brother and otherwise casually playing some Wolfenstein 3D in DOSBox.

Taking a break from SOCOM: Tactical Strike, god damn escort sections...not the worst but damn that previous mission took 4 HOURS to get right. Fending off several terrorists while guarding a bunch of engineers disarming bombs in 2 different sections of the compound (hence my team split in two) while under a 4 minutes time limit....GOD.

Indeed! The controls felt awesome, and the small cutscenes... ORGASMIC!

Lost Odyssey and then Halo 3.
I'm still on disc 2 for Lost Odyssey... I think I might give up with it like I did with FF9.

Played the alpha for AAaaaaAaAAA...etc.; the game that was linked from one of the recent news articles. It's actually pretty fun.

Don't, there are really great moments for you to see yet in this game. It does get really frustrating later on though, when it starts going all out on environmental puzzles and mechanisms. Some of those are so complex that they could have easily been a part of a Myst game, there are locations in the game that are all one huge puzzle, and getting random encounters every 3 steps doesn't really help you stay focused on them. But it's still a great game.

I didn't even give up on Lost Odyssey, but I am seriously considering giving up on Eternal Sonata myself. That game becomes brutally hard really soon, and enemies hit you for half your health pool even when you successfully block their attacks. This is not bad in itself, but add the fact that save points in this game are about 2 hours of gameplay away from each other and you've got a recipe for disaster. If you want to make a hard game, then let me save often. Seriously.

That's what gets me, I hate the random encounters from that Staff in the City of Samen place after the boat. I guess this game will take longer than I though. I love the story so far.

Yes, it is a really long game. I think it took me about 80 hours to finish, maybe more. But if you like the story so far, then don't give up on it, it gets a lot more epic the more you play.
