I never really buy memorabilia, but I've wanted a good Catwoman statue since I was a kid. Ordered this nine months ago, only arrived today. In my closed bookcase because I have no fancy place to display it. The doors will keep most dust off. I'm not completely sure about the likeness of her face. They did at least come close, which is a relief.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Zniw Adventure.

Its so charming and cute. I got it since Toby Fox released Deltarune chapter 2 for free so I was like "I shall support another Indie game that needs more attention since you were so cool."

I've kept buying more retro games, too many to list but some I'd like to talk about are:

Gran Turismo 5 (PS3): This feels like the living embodiment of boring in terms of presentation, it's just trying to look classy and respectable and like "This is a completely respectable thing for a company man to play", it's literally the "Freeform jazz" of games to put it in Spongebob terms, like I'm astounded at how boring the presentation is and even though the game proper is actually pretty solid, not too simulation not too arcade and is fun to play I'm kinda glad I never played Gran Tursimo games back in the day because my god, I never played anything that felt like browsing a magazine while at the dentist's waiting room until I played this game, liking this would've made me the most boring person in the world.

Armored Core 4 (Xbox 360): Mentioned it in that From Soft thread, it's fantastic, if you like Gundam Style Mechs play it because it's fun and has pretty solid customization and some fun missions even if it can be frustrating at times, it also feels dramatically better that AC3, but I can't really compare it to From Soft's other Mech game I have which is Chromehounds, because they're too different, this is much faster and over-the-top than that but both are great and I'd recommend both games.

Heavy Rain (PS3): Wanted to try it for the memes, found out that I can't really play it because my PS3's controllers motion sensors don't work anymore and as a result I can't brush my teeth and as such can't continue the game, which is kind off a meme now that I think about it so it didn't disappoint.

Star Ocean The Last Hope International (PS3): IDK why I bought this, it's the 3rd Star Ocean I've gotten and just like the other 2 I don't care for it, I couldn't make it past the tutorial because I was just so uninterested.

There's more stuff like Buffy the Vampire Slayer Chaos Bleeds (PS2), Space Chanel 5 Special Edition (PS2), Burnout 3 Takedown (PS2), Star Wars Rogue Squadron 1 & 2 (Gamecube), Front Mission Evolved (PS3) and Twisted Metal 2 (PS1) but I haven't tried those yet.

Ah, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. A gentleman of refined taste I see.

A new propane gas grill.

My girlfriend wanted the pre-assembled floor model, but I insisted on buying one new in the box. Home Depot offered to deliver and assemble it for an extra $100; no thanks. I was able to get it together in about an hour or so, but damned if it wasn't a b****, particularly when she kept nosing in and questioning my ability to follow the instructions. I love putting stuff together, but HATE someone over my shoulder the whole time asking if I know what I'm doing. We should have taken the floor model.

Hey! That's the first GT game I played too and I gotta say, I kind of dig the laid-back presentation of it. As someone who has played quite a few racing games, they tend to either fall into the F&F hip-hop route or the mid 00's 'rock' (IE Burnout 3/Lazy Generation) where they feel like they're trying a little too hard to come off as 'cool', while GT seems contents to just let the cars take center stage. That, and I've come to realize that I'm a real grownup as I really like jazz now (that bit they use for the 'freeform jazz' joke is actually a part of a really great song)

Today I bought a food processor, because it's getting exceedingly difficult to find the premade salads the store I shop at usually sells and I really do need to eat healthier. Unfortunately it shreds lettuce instead of chopping it, but for everything else I like to put into salads (such as tomatoes, peppers and celery) it does a damn good job. Plus it only set me back about thirty dollars, which isn't bad at all.

I guess that makes sense, and the F&F phase of racing games was pretty cringe even if some of the games were pretty good, to me it's more like Gran Turismo 5's presentation felt like one of those car magazines, and it just felt like a really corporate "Respectable" product, like it was deliberately trying to be really classy which isn't something I got from Forza for example, which is another game with the same vibe that was also all about the cars and wile I'll say that GT's presentation was more appealing than Forza, Forza doesn't really feel self-important at all.

But yeah that song is actually pretty good, TBH I do like jazz I just don't actively listen to it, but I felt that Spongebob episodes brand of describing it was the easiest, like there are specific things you can like to be a respectable adult, some of them are Jazz, Classical music, Opera, cars and so on, and the feeling I got from GT5 is that it was trying to be respectable above all, that being said I have continued playing the game and it is fun.

OT: Also unrelated but I bought a PSP last weekend it was the model 3000 which I know because it has Playstation button instead of a home button and it's great, the only game I have for it Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, which I do like, but out of curiosity I tried copying the games I have on my PC from when I emulated PSP to the PSP and I'm pretty impressed that they just work, this little device is pretty great, I'm liking it a lot.

It's the anniversary of the Oculus Quest 2 and they're having a sale there. Vader Immortal comes in 3 episodes, $10 a piece. Today, they're on sale in a bundle. All 3 for $15. Logged in, as I already had 1 episode, they only made me pay another $10 for episode 2 and 3. The good: very immersive, feeling like you are in the Star Wars universe. The bad is that they are very, very short. Still, a very decent price for such an experience.
Battlefield V Deluxe is on sale on Steam and Origin for $5. Couldn't resist even though it is a PS+ game already (May not be the deluxe). I do more gaming on PC so, should be worth it to me.
And $15 from Humble Bundle, Base game of The Hunter Call of the Wild with 20 DLC packs.

Goes to charity.

Ok, so I told myself that I wouldn't have anymore big, personal purchases this year, however in light of a nice pay increase this week (to the tune of $3-$4 extra dollars an hour), I decided to have one last splurge. Instead of my usual buys of music/movies, and with all the talk of Lego Movie, I decided to get something I've had my eye on for a while, the Porsche 911 Targa/Turbo kit. Been spending my Sunday afternoon putting it together whIle also taking care of my little sister's oil change for her car.

I bought some double-sided tape at the grocery store, with the intention of hanging the lenticular cards that came with my Batman boxset. But they fell down, no matter how much tape I used.

I wonder if this is much stronger than this. I bought the yellow-branded Scotch.

I recommend just getting those framed. If you want to do a customized wall frame, I don't blame you. Cuz if the double sided tape don't work, then I highly doubt the yellow tape is going to do much.

Like, a model or a kit to dress up a real car? Either way, hope you share a pic of the finished product.

Long story short, got this. For some reason, I needed it close to the WAP to configure it. Once configured, I put it on the TV in my addition and it is streaming in 4K. I'm having some buddies over soon to watch Dune on HBO Max and had to ensure I could stream 4K up there (Samsung 4K TV has built in streaming that fluctuates with the reliability and speed of the connection, which isn't 4K. Built in radios just don't appear to be as good as those found in other better dedicated streaming devices).

They're both double-sided, but I'm assuming the blue kind (which isn't the one I bought) is stronger if it's called poster tape. Framing sounds complicated. I haven't hung anything on my walls.

I had a similar problem with a boxframe canvas picture I wanted to put up on my wall (I was using self-sticking hooks but they kept coming off the wall). I got some adhesive velcro instead, stuck it on the side edges of the boxframe and it hasn't budged since.

A lego model kit (though I have in the past built actual plastic model kits), specifically this one. I probably won't post any pictures of it right now (as it looks exactly as it does on the box), though I do want to play around with it some more and see what I can do with it. I want to see about turning it into a classic, non-Turbo hardtop (a Carrera basically) and a full on rally safari 911 (with actual suspension).

Finally got into the wireless earbud game with these Klipsch T5 II earbuds. They sound really good and are completely independent so one earbud isn't a slave. They don't have ANC (active noise cancelling) but I don't really care about that feature, though the newer more expensive model does have that. Their case is pretty awesome like a Zippo lighter and it's all metal.
