I haven’t bought a DVD in a decade. Also, no longer own an DVDs and haven’t turned the player on for a decade. (Except: DVD recording of my daughter dance concert.)Just ordered...
The Pacific (BD) - 9.99
Beetlejuice (UHD) - 9.99
District 9 (UHD) - 9.99
Those are, I think, my fourth and fifth UHD this year for 9.99, and they all came out in 2020 too. This new format can be had so cheap already.
Maybe. UHD has nowhere near the peak sales Blu-ray and especially DVD had.I haven’t bought a DVD in a decade. Also, no longer own an DVDs and haven’t turned the player on for a decade. (Except: DVD recording of my daughter dance concert.)
I would gather that has something to do with it
I understand your positionMaybe. UHD has nowhere near the peak sales Blu-ray and especially DVD had.
People find it so weird and senseless when I tell them I buy and rent discs. I mainly do it because the quality difference is usually substantial. Also, ownership reasons.
Some screenshots I took for a thread elsewhere...

Look at the pixelated muck between Adam Sandler and the woman. Like partly solidified milk. In the Blu-ray, it just looks like grain.

The 5 mbps recommended for HD Netflix is far too low. I've read more than once that Netflix is one of the better ones.
I got that also, so far killing floor is neat but buggy and A-tech is only neat since its in vr.
