I totally get where you're coming from, but they've actually tried, at the very least, to diversify the NPC pallette recently. By hiring over 70 voice actors for the bloody game to record 60,000+ lines of dialogue. I think that's about 10 times more than Oblivion, at least in terms of voice actors.
I can totally fall in line with the idea that it might not be perfect, but at the same time the lack of pre-release hype coupled with how good the game is looking at this point is getting me really bloody excited. I'm glad the Bethesda haven't said "oh hey guys, our game is going to be the best game ever made" they just told us about it and showed us some stuff, and now it's shaping up to make Oblivion look goddamn well primitive.
Well that's exactly it. You'd be insane to think it would be bug free. A game with SOOOO many variables it's almost impossible to fully test to the limits. Bethesda have been honest about what will/will not be in the game. While I'm sure we're all being incredibly impatient & want to see more, they have given us a reveal, a release, hundreds of reviewers varying amounts of time with the game & 40 minutes of gameplay. That's more than almost any other game coming out so far.
I'm not expecting a "perfect" game. But I am very reassured this game will be better than Oblivion / Fallout (since it takes the best from both) and had the full power and dedication of the Bethesda team for the past 3 years or so. It
is their flagship game after all.
If anyone hates on this game for Bethesda's track record (which is pretty bloody good considering how open their RPG's are [FO:NV not included]); Oblivion's: voice actor number, physics, combat, size; for being more amateur-friendly (which it is, but it's also allowed for more variables for experts like me)... etc. - You're just being finicky & are looking for faults where there are none.
Anyone can call me a fanboy (such a crappy term for defending
multiple developers from the rest), but TES games & Fallout 3 have been some of the best games, in every aspect, I have played in a long time. Especially in comparison with some of the other games out these days.

Just to make myself sound cool; I'm gonna' go play Doom 2 and then maybe some Halo 3 followed by the original rainbow six. 3 brilliant games that make more modern games shiver and fall apart in their buggy, less-unique boots.
