Some way to armor a house or something. Three ingots of iron vertically makes 4 plate of armor plating that you apply similar to a ladder or painting
Well then good job Minecraft's only $20, right? :3TestECull said:I'm fine with this as long as they don't get ideas of grandure and start charging more than it's worth. I won't even pay sixty bucks for stuff from the professionals so I'm sure as hell not gonna spend it on something written by one or two guys in their basement.DarthFennec said:Since indie developers are taking a huge risk jumping into this industry, and they put all their time and money and effort into making things that most likely won't sell too well, if at all, I think it makes much more sense for indie devs to charge more for games ...
Go to Appdata/.minecraft/saves, and copy/paste your save file from the folder to your desktop or somewhere convenient. BAM! Instant backup.silver wolf009 said:I should not have to download a program for that, but there is no excuse for my folly.Elamdri said:Backup your saves man. There are plenty of programs that will do it.silver wolf009 said:Multilpe save slots that can be used to save the same world in more than one slot.
Nothing sucks more *STREAM OF EXPLITIVES* that having months, BLOODY MONTHS, of mining, building, stockpiling, dissapear in a flash into oblivion... Nothing.

What I mean is instead of tirelessly building one block at a time, you could instead delete an entire wall of rock depending on your currently equipped device (Pick Axe, Shovel, etc), then replace it with say, Cobblestone. Only an idea, and it would save me time. There are many other elements that could be used from Dungeon Keeper, such as Minions as well, and you could minipulate the skins of the minions *not that different from what you do already with your avatar*, and every bed you build or something else could be considered a "Lair".
If you still don't know what im talking about, go find an extremely old copy of Dungeon Keeper 1 or 2. They were one of the best series in the 90's. You could also find software online probebly using a torrent or 2.
I bought it when it was $10 and I've always thought it was worth much more, but I guess that's my opinion. The cool thing about Minecraft is he'll keep adding stuff until nothing or very little is missing, and you'll never have to pay another cent.TestECull said:I bought it when it was only 10 and I'm still debating whether or not it's worth that. As I mentioned on page 2 Minecraft certainly has many things that are missing.DarthFennec said:Well then good job Minecraft's only $20, right? :3TestECull said:I'm fine with this as long as they don't get ideas of grandure and start charging more than it's worth. FLYING MACHINGE!!!Sirpipple said:Minecraft is missing the ability to get around the world faster, yes, there are mine carts but I would really like to see are riding animals (the pig doesn't count) and maybe a flying machine of some description.
Build an incinerator out of lava. I have one in my house.bleachigo10 said:I'd really like some system of getting rid of excess materials. After a lot of mining the majority of my inventory spaces seem to be filled by cobblestone and gravel and i'd rather not have 50 chests sitting around full of rocks.
There is a way. It's called starting a multiplayer server and never setting an ip adress. Login with local host and your away. The server config then means you can turn off animals/ mobs and you then have /give abilities for the fun. But minecraft could really benefit from something like a trapdoor mechanism (already been mentioned i realised) and fruit trees! I want to actually have my own orchards (cider plox?? hehe) It would also be nice to add something like a cooker that would cook your food, and a hollowed stone block for a sink. Part of trhe fun of minecraft, to me, is the ability to really personalise your home. Currently you kin've have to mock up everything and it generally becomes oversized because of the blocks required to do things. But yes trapdoors seriously! triggerable by redstone would make them awesome!mb16 said:a option to remove passive mobs.
This plus the 4x4 idea from another post, and the more vehicles idea from a third.josemlopes said:This.Lunaras13 said:right now the game is just
start a new map -> build a shitty house -> mine far into the ground -> build a better house -> put it on hard mode -> kill shit tons of monsters -> quit for a week or 2 -> repeat
so i would suggest some RPG elements
an economy
what if gold could be smelted down into coins, and somewhere underground you found an old man running a shop that you could buy things at like diamonds, pictures, etc. many old men selling different things each
more dimensional gates like hell, not all of them are hostile
i would love it if magic were added, fireballs that would hurt enemies and light stuff on fire from a distance, ice bolts that would slow enemies and put out fires/lava, lightning that could activate switches and stuff from a distance, teleport back to spawn point.
...
Not much to add then
True, maybe the feature of Multi-Build/Delete isn't a great ideabam13302 said:a- there is programs for this (mcedit, its on the minecraft wiki)Chase Yojimbo said:hmm... Minecraft needs more Dungeon Keeper elements... If you don't know what Dungeon Keeper is, slap yourself.

b- the major point of making things in minecraft is the effort involved, the great wall of china is a lot less impressive if it was done in 2 clicks
