I have a PhD in applied physics, and teach in the same field at a gymnasium. Some students take me as boring, but I sit at home playing video games in my free time (a lot), and have travelled the world in the many summers I have had off, as the job pays well.

So yeah, students should shut the fuck up, and listen to what I have to say about Niels Bohr, so some day they might live the awesome life of a physics teacher.

Sweet. I was considering switching from chemistry to physics. I was thinking of getting into nuclear stuff. Any advice for physics?

Word of warning, you will fall in love with motion capture, there are no girls in Stafford and by second year you will probably move course onto either all Design or all Programming.

I know :'D I went on a residential last year and I'll probably go on it again this year.

We tried out the computer rooms and the motion capture equipment... I fell in love that day.

I also met a ton of awesome game design students :3 Who needs wenches anyway!

During my first interview here the publisher and I spent most of our time talking about the Peloponnesian War. I'm sure it's what got me the job.

I'm currently studying for a Masters in Engineering and am probably going to specialise into New and Renewable Energy which sounds like a bullshit title but it more or less is the same as Electrical engineering.

I'm sure as fuck not doing a PhD. Way too much effort, boredom and debt and besides, I'll already be qualified enough to become chartered and that's really all I need. I might take a second degree in management as I'm quite enjoying that at the moment but I probably wont do it for ages.

Bachelor of fine arts for media arts and animation. Lucky enough to work on some games and movies out on the west coast during my internships until I was diagnosed with cancer and had to move back to the midwest for treatment and recovery. Now I'm behind, rusty, and need to learn the new software that's becoming more wildly used since I had to stop, as well put together an updated reel with fresh animation and modeling which all takes a while itself, so it's a daunting task that's making it hard to get motivated for.

Dude! Until you hit it big, you could do work as a voice actor, or do vocals for TV, Film, or game music. You should put together a demo and spread it around to see what happens. Granted I don't know a lot about the music side of things, but there's always a demand for a good voice.
