from presumably lack of good nutrition, when I was 19, I jumped over one of our dogs like I would a lot to freak her out, it was only maybe two feet but I landed badly and broke my hip, the scar is where they put three screws in

Well, there are three prominent ones; embarrassed of one, proud of another, and the third's almost unnoticeable.

The embarrassing one happened while I was on my first date with this girl. I was waiting for her mother to pick me up at the bowling alley where my parents were bowling, under the instructions to inform them when I was leaving. When she arrived, I was so eager to leave that when I sprinted back into the bowling alley, I ended up slipping on some sand, throwing me into a roll that scraped up my elbow. To this day, I look down on it and I smell her perfume.

The unnoticeable one happened when my family went out to California for Thanksgiving and my mother's 40th birthday. My cousins, brother & I went to a park and played a little baseball. I was pitching to my high-school-varsity-playing cousin, when he cracks a line drive that goes whizzing by my head. I threw the next pitch, I hear the crack of the bat, and then I'm being picked up off of the ground, spewing blood from my broken nose, having no idea where my shattered sunglasses landed. The ironic thing is that prior to that pitch, in response to the ball whizzing by my head, I said, "I would hate to get hit by one of those." Several reconstructive plastic surgeries later, you can barely see it.

While that one is unnoticeable, my proudest is one that can't be seen. Back in 2005, I found myself in the hospital, being diagnosed with ALL. To make administering the chemo easier, the doctors installed a Groshong port into my chest. Unfortunately, it would seem that it would cause more problems than it would fix, so in December of that year, I was in the ICU, being told, "We need to take that out. Don't worry, it'll be a quick, 5 minute procedure." 30 excruciating minutes later, it finally came out, leaving me with a marble-sized hole in my chest. When I thought of the kinds of scars I'd get in the military, I never thought of anything like that.

I have a scar on the back of my left hand, I woke up one day when I was around 10 to find that my dog was really hyper and he ran over my hands with his sharp claws. I actually use it to differentiate between my left and right hands.

Oh, man. I've got more scars than Sgt. Barnes from Platoon.

I have a big one on my forehead from being smashed with a skate board. (14 stitches and a skull fracture, but not KO'd, fuck I'm tough)

I have matching ones on my elbows (both caused by drunken tom-foolery)

A cluster of small(ish) scars on my back from being stabbed with a broken bottle.

A big scar on my knee from finding out I can't skate board.

A big one on my foot from when my brother thew a pitch fork at me.

One on my eyebrow from running face first into a concrete pipe.

A big one on my arm where i was gored by a goat.

One on my hand from fucking about melting plastic straws.

One on my ear from being pushed down the stairs (my dick brother again)

A series of 'em on my fingers from getting my hand caught in a exercise bikes gears.

There are more, but my fingers are getting tired ;D.

Do inside wounds count? I shall assume that they do.

I was hoisted violently into the mast of my uncles sailboat at age 13. A line was laid incorrectly and when he turned, the arm shifted and up I went. Tore/stretched/broke/damaged just about everything inside. Now I have an awesome limp and a perfect excuse to use a cane whenever I f-ing feel like it.

Seriously though, after P.T. I can walk fine, but it still sucked.

I have a scar on my forehead from when I ran into the part of a door that goes in when you close it or pull the handle down. Me and my Dad went to the hospital with my head pouring blood. To fix it, they glued it back together rather than giving me stitches or whatever they were meant to do. We had ox tail for tea. It was a good day, I remember enjoying it.

I have one from when I was even younger than that, but I don't remember it vividly. Basically, I fell down the stairs and I think into a door. From that I have a scar on my lip.

Up until seeing an episode of Family Guy, I also thought I had a scar on my unmentionables. Good job that was a just a misunderstanding.

I have a hideous scar from when I had my port put in for cancer treatment.

I also have various hardly noticeable scars on my fingers/hands from a skateboarding incident a few years ago.

There is one on my chest from where a twig stuck into it after falling down a hill.

And I have horrible acne scarring all over my shoulders that hopefully will fade with time/treatment.

The only scar I have is a gap in my left eyebrow. I was jumping up and down on the bed when I was about 2 years old, fell off, and cracked my head open on the bedside table.

I like the scar because I don't think I'm not ugly or sexy, tall or short, fat or thin: I'm universally average, and the scar gives my normal face at least a small bit of flavor.

Two scars, both on my head. The one in my eyebrow was from a friend who threw a Captain Scarlet car at me, it was made of steel, so it hurt like a *****.

The one in the middle of my forehead was when I fell off a stool when I was about three, cracked my head open. So I have a scar and a pointy skull to headbutt things, woo. =D

A scar on my scalp from where a kid threw a pipe at my head, and a scar on my elbow from a surgery to transpose an entrapped nerve. Other than that, I either had a boring childhood or I was just lucky!

I have quite a few scars from my childhood though the big one is my earliest memory, at the age of 2 the back of my right hand got burned by a plastic toy spanner that my 2 year older brother had placed in the fire and dripped everywhere.

I can remember it very vividly though very little else about that occasion.

Other scars include a burn on my belly from when i was 2-3 (cant remember it) and a cut on my left eyebrow from running (being chased) into a lamp post and that digging my glasses into me (needed stitches) when I was 11.

I don't really have any scars. One small chicken pox one on my cheek and a tiny one on the back of my hand from an accidental scissor cut and that's about it.
My brother however has two scars on his face because of me. One on his forehead from when he ran into a screwdriver I was holding when we were little and another on the eyebrow from when I threw a wooden swing into his face...Not sure if he actually ever forgave me for that >.>
