What the f is up with all of this My Little Pony crap?

I haven't watched much of it out of fear of being indoctrinated(Sovereign eat your bio-mechanical-space-squid heart out). What I have seen of it was pretty good though. The animation is decent and the some of the dialogue between characters is pretty funny... I'm gonna go back to playing Mass Effect now.

Maybe is because of my personal experience with rayearth, but i keep expecting the white pony to be the villain at the end, while the one that was in charge of the moon was just locked away by the evil sister...nah .is just a kids show.. right?

So far as I can tell (18 episodes in), Celestia (the good sister) is... just a minor character. She appears maybe once every episode, at the end, usually recieving Twilight Sparkle's (purple pony) messages. The good sister is good, the bad sister is bad. Actually, I don't think the bad sister ever reappeared after the closure of the second episode.

I really actually enjoyed it. Not on a large scale, but it's different in a good way. Their humor isn't cheesy, the animation is unique, the characters are actually well designed, and overall the plot is structured to suit all audiences.
In other words- this show is enjoyable if you have a thing or two for cartoons. I already seen the 2nd episode, and I may watch the third. However, i'm more into Panty and Stocking right now because the anime is hilarious.. but at times really wrong on so many levels *shutters*

The first two episodes are significantly different than the rest. I would recommend watching the third before your final decision.

It's just a really good show, It's writing is waaaaay better than most shows aimed at girls and even most that are aimed at boys that and it has a really well-balanced cast with excellent animation, and if you don't give the show on the grounds that it's about ponies, you need to man up.

While the art is awesome and it looks decent... I can't get into it D: I have tried to watch an episode, but the predictable plot (and amazingly the art) kept shooing me away... I dunno, maybe I am just not meant to be a part of the herd... Doesn't mean it's bad or that you can't like it though...

its a well written, well animated, and well voiced show that works for more then just little girls, if given a chance.

i had a hard time getting through the first ep, took like 3 trys to get it all the way done, >.> but then, i'm male, so ya know there's those reasons, but by the end of ep1 i was already hooked, and now, i'm a Bronie

more then a month after discovering it, i'm looking forward to something on TV, and i haven't looked forward to anything on TV in YEARS.

Seriously, give it a chance. It's good, I swear.

Animation = Great. The cuteness will give you diabetes.

Voices = Awesome. Some real talent on display here, including Tara Strong, voice of Bubbles, Raven, and Rikku (from PowerPuff Girls, Teen Titans, and Final Fantasy 10, respectively)

Jokes = Hilarious. Whoever wrote the jokes in this is SERIOUSLY talented. Hell, this show has the first funny anvil gag I've seen in ages.

Yeah, the VA's are great. What surprised me is that the voice actor for Pinkie Pie is the same one who voiced Andrala from Reboot.

Currently on episode 7 and I can say that it's without a doubt one of the better cartoons out there nowadays. Will admit that I felt like I needed to turn in my testicles for watching it at first, but that feeling's gone now. >.>

It's popular now but it will pass eventually when people get bored with it, this is internet after all. And who cares? I will say this however, I made almost this same thread and became obsessed with the show. Lauren Frost (creator of Powerpuff Girls) poured her heart and soul into what could of been a big toy advertisement.

I know the feeling. For the first five or six episodes, I was having a bit of an existential crisis. Then I got over it. Now, while I am not completely obsessed, I have seen every episode, and I have come to terms with the fact that Pinkie Pie is a psychotic badass. I am looking forward to experiencing more of her special brand of insanity in the near future.

From what I can tell, no this is not ironically liked or watched. These people do seem to genuinely like it. I've watched the first two episodes and while not really drawn in (although I've heard there are better episodes later on) the animation was good and it wasn't just some drivel aimed at young girls who don't know any better.

I'm mainly amused by the reaction it's getting from everyone on the internet. People you wouldn't expect are drooling over the thing and other people are frothing at the mouth with rage towards it and it's fans. Not to mention alot of the images related to it are quite funny.

Or just plain awesome.
