Disney's Donald Duck PK [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney%27s_PK:_Out_of_the_Shadows] was the first game I ever played on the Playstation 2. It was also the first game I've ever played all the way through, since I had only played game demos and the first level of adventure games on PC before that (couldn't get past that friggin' guard...).
Edit: Oh, and I had played some Super Mario and Goldeneye multiplayer on N64.

So yeah, that's the game that started the chain of events that would eventually make me the gamer you see today.
Yeah, I liked your post because it wasnt one of the obvious one. (Also because its a game I've played).
This is the kind of post that I want more of. The less obvious games.
Why, thank you!

It was quite a lot of fun to read it's reviews, since most say it's pretty poor. Guess my first isn't all that impressive after all...

Wolfenstein 3d (and this is the 3rd post in a row I've mentioned this game...)

Either that or the dos version of Prince of Persia, I remember as a kid stopping in the chompy metal gate things just to watch the blood be stringy as it keeps opening up.

Still play them both on occasion :)

I remember starting off with Pong, but I think I really got my gaming "addiction" with Atari 2600's "Defender". God I played that game for hours on end.

Well I played N64 as my first console...but what really got me into gaming was Age of Empires: Age of Kings

I have so many good memories in that game...had some awesome multiplayer battles that I still remember to this day.

The third Crash Bandicoot on PSX. Eventually, I got into RPG's when I started watching my dad play Final Fantasy VIII.

What made me the kind of gamer I am today? I had games for a long time: PS 1, N64, Gameboy, and the greatest games those had to offer. None of those made me the hardcore gamer whose text you see before you. What was it then? To my everlasting shame... Animal Crossing for the Gamecube.
