What would be a great setting for Assassin's Creed 3

Im getting the feeling that this one is going to focus more on Desmond himself. Which is good because, along with the name, they could make Desmond a lot like his identically-named LOST character where his mind is constantly flashing between different periods in time- or one set period without his control.

I would totally play that. The bad side is that Desmond is the least-compelling character playable so far in the series... ...

I saw Napolean era France on here, that sounds like fun, but it looks like Desmond is going to be the main character in Assassin's Creed 3.

After beating AC2 I'm definitely saying that it's going to be in the the modern times. Although, I kinda think that it might be half and half. Half in the present, half in the past. I dunno. Only the story writers know...

i'm going to say that AC is a trilogy, with the game ending with this upcoming installment, several things in AC 2 point towards this.

When it comes to the next Assassin's Creed the next time period will have to be set years later from AC 2 and still involve the overall plot set by the last 2 games I do have a feeling though that they would want to a game with Desmond.

i didnt read every post (because i have a life lol) but i think south america would be great. maybe during the exploration time so you can go back and forth and do assassination missions for either the Spaniards or the Incas/Aztecs.

Actually, I am pretty sure the 2012 Desmond thing is confirmed for the end of the Assassin's Creed Trilogy.
I am kind of curious to see how they will pull it off though, with the guns and all

Probably some time around WW1, so they can and some sort of shooter gameplay since i don't believe they can get away with the crack retreival team who attack people with metal batons instead of shoting them

French Revolution. I mean, there was literally blood running down the streets of Paris then, I'm sure UbiMont could get away with throwing in some assassinations there.

You could also assassinate Robespierre... with a guillotine!

"Would you kind place your head here?"
"Porquoi? Et qui vous est?"

Don't forget, the way this series is going and Ubisoft's nationality the entire motherfucking game would be in French.
That's fine. I'm Canadian; the rest of English Canada would once again roll their eyes at the French Canadians, but we'd still be able to play!

And doesn't that just wrap it up nicely? Hoh hoh!
Funny thing is that if we did this, French-Canadians would get shit from the Euro French... sad thing is that everyone hates them.

Also I can actually see them doing kind of a conglomorate of era's here, cause remember they did set it up in both Desmond's flash and dear old subject 16's rants, he doesn't have control over it, so easily he could end up slipping between ancestors by accident...just no "OH Shite I'm in my great-great-far too many great grandmothers womb scenes again please.

At first I thought some kind of noir enviroment, like The Saboteur. But the rise of Napoleon would be amazing.

I gotta go with feudal Japan on this one...I mean, the ninja were the ultimate stealth assassins right? (I'm talking about Tenchu ninjas, not Ninja Gaiden ninjas)

They are probably going to rap it up in the present, if they did chicago is an under looked setting that is perfect considering what Assassin's creed 2 did. Lots of water, bridges, high buildings and rooftops. But personally i would like to see it around the 1920's a booming economy, tons of crime and questionable men (and bonny), and really just an unexplored area in time by games, except for the few that just suck.
