What'd you name your Shepard and why?

Max Shepard. Really mean guy. Powerful Biotic (adept). Dark red hair, cropped, and stubble. Light green eyes.

Max because it was my best friend's name growing up. That and I really like the name. Also I'm a huge Sam & Max fan, haha.

My good Shepard is Sam Shepard. Short brown hair, some chin scruff, strong features, brown eyes. Engineer.

Ethan Shepard for my male/paragon-playstyle, as a (obvious) takeaway from actor/director Ethan Hawk's character typecasting. It's blatantly fitting: almost every character acting role Hawk's undertaken since [a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119177/"]Gattaca[/a] has been of either the stereotypically "Lawful Good" or "Lawful Neutral" persuasion.

Kurt Vonne is my RPG name. It really works in Dragon Age II. Kurt Vonne Hawke sounds badass.

If I'm feeling normal(hardly ever) I usually name my male one Alexander Shepard and my female one Janine Shepard, but if I'm feeling goofy, I name them Argagagagle Shepard.

Alexis and Sophia were the two names for the femSheps I used. I can't recall what I named my first male Shepard, on account of my mind being overwhelmed by the "Did someone eat your soul?!" thought going through my head.

I named him Phil, but that's because I name all of my RPG characters Phil. Don't ask why. I forgot, myself. Didn't look too bad, either.

I named her "Commander", which meant everyone referred to her by her full name, it was silly enough to make me giggle for the first five hours.

That's actually a good idea. I gotta try that on my next playthrough. I was thinking of naming him Shepard Shepard, making the whole thing confusing but pretty damn funny, but yours is much better.

Swivelhips Shepard, probably due to a combination of reading too much Heinlein at the time and a tradition of using the silliest names possible for serious characters. She has very dark skin, a bright orange buzzcut, a slight overbite, and an attitude problem. She will damn well save the galaxy whether it wants to be saved or not, and then punch it in the dick for laughing at her name/how she looks, because that's just how she rolls.

Mass Effect Heinlein stlye would involve going in to recruit the squadmate sit down talk for an hour or two with massive amounts of didactic expositon about their differnt points of veiw then they would flirt and have sex all night. this would happen every time. but thats why i love him

Dunno, always thought Dekker was a cool name. Have no Idea why. I usually just name everyone in every RPG Albert but in Shepards case, his name was Dekker. John in my second playthrough. Goblecoq in my third.

Miro Shepard is technically my canon Shepard, since that's the only import I have from ME1. However, Tali dies in Miro's save because I sent Grunt as the escort without any DLC characters to take up the slack. Fern Shepard is my FemShep's name on my third and most recent play-through, as well as the only play-through where I've done the DLC. She's the Shepard I'm most attached to, and I plan on importing her first come ME3. I might try to do a fourth play-through with a MaleShep before ME3, because I really want to have a save with Shep in a relationship with Tali where she actually survives the last mission, and has all the DLC completed. In other words, I want Fern to have a distaff counterpart.
