where ever KoRn, Disturbed and Limp Bizkit fall, that's where i am. well there's Godsmack to but i don't listen to them as often, but which ever of those four is 'harder'

Hard to say, really. I regularly go up to 11 (I mean, it is one louder) and beyond. There's some stuff I listen to that's even more extreme than the examples listed under 11 (Gnaw Their Tongues, Portal, Darkspace, etc, but that's basically evil compressed in music form, barely), though my favorite musican is Devin Townsend who goes from a 1-2 (Ghost) to an easy 10.5 (Strapping Young Lad). I'd say most days I'd listen to about 8-11, though some of the metalcore I enjoy would be around a 7.

Yep. I tried to find other bands with non-human vocalists but only found Caninus(which was also mentioned in the podcast).

I suppose the hardest I listen to is Meshuggah which is anywhere from 9-11 I guess.

I mostly listen to djent bands like Periphery and Animals as Leaders.

Eh, I don't really like fitting into a classification, since my musical taste is pretty odd. That being said, the hardest metal I listen to can slip between 9 and 10 I think. I like songs more than bands, and when I like a lot of songs by a band, I like the band.

I'd say those both reach 10. I'm fairly sure songs like bleed and sections of songs like 'art of dying' reach an 11.

I can listen to songs from pretty much anywhere on the scale without a problem. Well... Some of the more inane and pointless auditory sugar that you get toward the very bottom of the scale is rather hard to listen to.

You're probably right, though I don't like to put really technical bands like those in the same category as Grindcore, Noisecore and such, because in my ears, those are an atrocity to metal. But, everyone has their taste
