Ohhhh what classes we lean towards?
I admit I enjoy being the red mage in games more, the jack of all trades who balanced magic and physical skills with more leaning towards magic, but never excelled in either.
I like staying away from enemies to pick off from a distance as well as have a repertoire of nasty tricks to pull out.
I guess you can say....I play support. Especially if I can defend.
In Deus Ex, I always pick proficiency in hacking, pistols, lockpicking and swimming (yes I DO find it useful, Yahtzee

)
In DragonAge: Origins, I'm a Magi.
In Mass Effect, my first class was Sentinel.
In Team Fortress 2, I usually play either Engineer or Heavy.
In Fallout 3 I first picked proficiency in Science, Small Arms and Speech.
In shooter games I like to stick to small arms like pistols.
In any other RPG and action game, I almost always load up in defensive skills before offensive, and even then the offensive skills are more or less built on precision rather than damage.
I may not hit hard, but I'll watch your back.
