Hydrogen.

Burn it to make fire
Combine it with Oxygen to make water

Added bonus: fuse it to make Helium and one really big explosion

water it can turn in to ice so it can do the same thing as earth. air is a bit to gay for me so that's not it, fire seems the most useless thing, so water.

Carbon... because I'm mostly made of it. Wait... you mean fantasy element? oh!

Light. Why? because I'm a good guy and my only weakness is bad guys and darkness.

According to Einstein, gravity doesn't really exist. General relativity... It'll blow your mind.

I pick flesh (I got the idea from Oblivion). That could make some very interesting (as in wierd and useful) mutations.

Fire. Between the ability to use fire and my already ferocious personality (when angered), I could be the best wielder of fire that time or fantasy has ever seen! Muahahahahahahaha!
This and darkness. Fire is harsh, but it eliminates impurities in a substance. In a similar manor, I tend to rip down tapestries that people throw up to make themselves feel comfortable and force them to accept what is rather than what they want.

Also, I go with darkness due to a few things. For one, the night is absolutely beautiful in some places. Without the darkness, there would be no night. In the summer out in the desert, night and shadows provide respite from heat. Finally, without shadows or darkness, there's very little mystery. Without mystery, there's no need for exploration. Without exploration, there's no exhilaration of new discovery.
But what about the zombies and vampires? D:

OT: Earth, if I find myself in trouble I would just bury myself and zoom around underground! And conjuring earthquakes is pretty nice to! But any element would be awesome to control.

Water, I could drain my enemies of water (humans are 80% water) that way they would easily die. I could also control people because blood is liquid and is in every muscle and tissue.

Air. I could compress air into a wall (like the sound barrier, only thicker) to crash people's cars when they decide to be shitty at driving. Can't keep your car between the lines? Fucking pressure wall, *****. Trying to throw a punch at my face? Pressure wall. I could also suffocate people by making the oxygen move away from them (although knowing me I'd probably just use this sort of thing to stop fires.)
Plus I could make the weather conveniently windy in any place that has a high concentration of short skirts. Oh yeah.

Actually, you're only about 18% carbon. You are mostly oxygen, although in terms of the number atoms, you are mostly hydrogen.

Id pick earth. mostly because you can do just about anything with earth. Also, in my mind, if I can lob a boulder at someone, then I can definatly sit on a boulder and throw that to FLLLYYYYYYY!

I would probably pick Prysodymium, I mean, how many people get to control an element from the lanthanyde series...

Yeah but Prysodymium is a soft silvery metal the develops a green oxide that spalls in air, although it does not corrode as easily in air as other members of the lanthanide group!
