Electromagnetism. You could use it to turn invisible, walk through solid objects, fly, deflect bullets and all other kinds of craziness.

Electromagnetism is a force, not an element. Ergo, YOUR WRONG!

Akasha (Lightning)
I basically would generate enormous amounts of electricity, witch could fry anybody in my way.
Also, there would never be any blackout in my area ;)

Lightning. If I had that all I would have to do is buy a black cloak then I'll be THE best cosplayer ever.

Earth. I'm a peaceful guy, am rarely near water, and the nice thing about earth that it is hard to defeat it. Fire is useless against stone, and water can't do too much. Ice would be a bit of an issue, but in my opinion, you can't defeat the sheer durability of earth and the ability to create stones and hurl them is perfect in a fight. Fire causes burn trauma and it takes a while to die from that. Water deaths usually are the result of drowning, which takes a minute or two. But a fist as hard a stone into your head is pretty much an automatic lights-out. Plus, try to shoot a stone with a bullet. I'm pretty sure the stone wins.

But, if I had the power of earth, I would honestly use it to help people. Crops grow, and since I live in prairie country, put some dang trees in. After that, I'd help out the cops by walking into dangerous hide outs. Like I said, rock wins over bullet.

Water, maybe? Sometimes dangerous and stormy, other times calm and still. always shifting and changing. Or earth? Strong, determined, plus my real name is Stone (no bull). Guess I'd be cold then.

Darkness, i think it would suit me very nicely..plus it means i get to do some cool stuff. Sure, it would be a setback should i encounter one who controls light, but...it happens xD

Depends on what you mean with 'Element'.

For chemical elements, either Aluminium or Iron (And therefore steel and other alloys) because they're just so damned useful. Or Copper.

For more magical stuff;
For 'classical' elements, Fire would be pretty awesome...
Actually, then I'd run the risk of ruining the heat-treating on my Claymore. Wind/Air it is.

For less traditional stuff;
Darkness; it's awesome, not to mention I could do the whole 'Dark Is Not Evil' thing. I like dark clothing anyway, so it'd suit me aesthetically too.
