Water. Water is probably the most overlooked element. Seriously, you can cut steel with pressurized water. Also, ice is made of water. I like ice.

Water, because it seems to be the most powerful. Just by drawing from Avatar: The Last Airbender lore, they are fucking overpowered.
You can control the blood of a person, essentially being a blood mage, you could control the water in plants and make them your slaves, you could control the water in the atmosphere, so you would control the clouds and the storms, and you can control ice as well.

So yeah. Water is definitely overpowered. That's why I'd pick it.

i would be the AVATAR!!!!!!!!! i would control all four elements! and save the world!

OT:prob air. ive seen some boss ideas for air on this thread, and when i think about it, my uses of water (my second choice) could all be done with air.

Wind ofcourse it's simply the best, because fire can't exist without heat oxygen. And what would you do with the water element in the desert where there is no water so nothing to use either.
Earth is also a good one I gues but stil you need something to use while wind can be used always because there's always air.

Air, because I could fly, suffocate, and do other awesome things! :D probs also be able to use it in combination with fire to create lightning, to strike down the pesky trees and earth!
Science fail
lol

Also it would have to be fire for me, heaps more fun to play with.

I'd control the power of Uranium, Arsenic, or any other poisonous element on the periodic table.
Seriously though, I'd go with ice. Burning, drowning, and apshyxiating things is never as fun as freezing things.

A tough one, but I'd say earth. It have more of a one with nature kind of feel, and I would never get tired of terraforming (not a word, but landscaping sounds lame) the land to my desires.
Terraforming is a word. It is the process of making planets similar to Earth, thereby making them inhabitable.

OT: If we are going by ye olde timy and unscientific use of the word elements, then I would go with fire.

Air

when challenged in combat I would keep you talking all the while gradually increasing the pressure in your lungs with every breath you took keeping it compressed so as it wouldn't be noticed and then when it is suddenly released, you would either expload or belch loudly depending on how much i had managed to contain. Failing that as has been previously stated merely removing all the air from the head.

Also if you can turn into your element the ability to dissolve into the air and move about as a current would make most other forms of transport obsolete

Heart....

fnar fnar, I'm not sure, probably fire since I get very agressive, very quickly when provoked

I was hoping this thread would let me say 'I'm in my element when I'm kicking back reading a book, having a fag, listening to music and drinking a nice glass of ale'

gutted :(

Ice or Darkness

Ice: It's cold [I like the cold' It's a weakening type of element, It can keep things from being destroyed through freezing it in to a solid block of ice.

Darkness: It would keep me hidden and sneaky, it's very powerful element that can be used efficiently, and there's more to it than shadows; such as poisoning and summoning.

that's my choices from an RPG kind of perspective.

Darkness. There was only that in the beginning and I'm sure it will all end with darkness. So why not side with the winning team?
