More 'classical' music I'd go with Chrono Cross. With more modern music The World Ends With You.

I'm also going to throw out that the soundtrack was the only thing I liked about the Halo series.

SC Conviction OST is really cool, could've been made for a good thriller in cinema imo.

Russian Embassy is the best title though, ingame it sounds even better.

I like quite a lot, really. Bastion has a -lovely- soundtrack. So good. Assassin's Creed is always good. Guild Wars and the Elder Scrolls have lovely music too, composed by Jeremy Soule. The Dynasty/Samurai Warriors Soundtracks are also surprisingly fun to listen to. They can at least keep you amused. ;D Finally Kingdom Hearts has some -really- nice pieces in it.
All of that said, I'm currently absolutely besotted by one in particular. And that would be this.

Uhh if i had to pick a few

These are easily my favourites :3

Id also like to point out that Metal Gear Solid 4 has some of the best usage of music in any game ever

when Snake and Ocelot have their final battle aboard Arsenal Gear, just how the music flows with fight itself is just beautiful, its one of the most moving scenes in any piece of media i've ever experienced. That scene alone proved to me that games can be used to create art, as that scene was easily Kojimas masterpiece

Mhh...a lot.

I'm quite grateful for the fact that, for the most part, developers have understood the importance of good audio and of a strong soundtrack in a game. Maybe some day they'll all pay the same respect to writing...

Anyways, too many to name, but I'd say my absolute favorite would be the godlike arksys soundtracks (Guilty Gear/Blaz Blue) by the incomparable Ishiwatari Daisuke. I mean...

....Eargasm.

Also, necessary shoutouts to The Bastion Soundtrack [http://www.facebook.com/supergiantgames?sk=app_204974879526524]. The word "beautiful" doesn't even begin to cover it. Easily soundtrack of the year, and that's not taking anything away from the other beautiful soundtracks we've gotten this year.

I've just finished GTA4 again, and I've got to say, I absolutely love the main theme. I feel it just fits so damn well, and whenever I hear it, it reminds me of that great game.

I love tonnes of Game Soundtracks. Hell, they make up over a quarter of my music collection. But I'd have to say that the one I'll ALWAYS listen to from beginning to end without skipping anything is TES III: Morrowind. I love the calm beauty of the tracks, compared to the powerful tracks in Oblivion (which I played before Morrowind). That's not to say I didn't like Oblivion's soundtrack, I just enjoy Morrowind's on a deeper level.

The soundtrack for splinter cell chaos theory by amon tobin is probably my favorite. The mass effect games also have brilliant soundtracks.

Loved Fallout: 3's and Fallout NV's soundtracks. I'm a sucker for music from the first half of the 20th century, what can I say. The ambient music is also pretty good, though.

Assassin's Creed always has really good soundtracks. (The theme on the menu screen of Revelations is gorgeous.)

And I'll be damned, but I love "Nate's Theme" from Uncharted as well.

Tom the Diver from Alan Wake.
I love how it simultaneously gives the impression of being in a dream that's slowly becoming a nightmare and also sinking deeper into a dark lake, all the while keeping a tough of hope, all of which is a major theme to the game.

red dead revolver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORxEAmWqbVE

mad world from the trailer video of gears of war 1...and a certain scene from gears of war three (spoiler) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEq0oV21tHI

and i know this isnt a song actually used in a game but it was the child of two different games, those games being metal gear solid and devil may cry.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3ex0i9Ufk4&feature=related metal gear may cry... now give the song a chance and listen to it, it really is an epic song and it gets really good at 2:00 mins into it.

Oh, there are a bunch of single tracks that I'll whistle after playing a game for a while. I'll never forget that one bit of boss music, that sad theme, and let's not forget the triumphant music at the apex of you awesomeness in that one game. Okami, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Oblivion, the list goes on and on and goddam on.
And yet, in my mind, it doesn't get better than Chrono Cross. Ye flipping gods I love the music from that game. From the trailer cinematic playing "Scars of Time", all the way to the invocation of the titular Chrono Cross, triggering "Life - Faraway Promise", a glorious piece that starts simple and beautiful, then swells into a full orchestral score that touches my soul in a way that very, very few things in this world can.
It. Is. Magnificent.

Emperor: Battle for Dune

House Harkonnen have the most awesome anthems of "crush and grind" I've ever heard. I even ripped the tracks by recording them from another computer, editing them in Audacity and ripping them to a CD so I could listen to them when I wanted.

Playlist link [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPGav8_HQbA&feature=rellist&playnext=1&list=PLD64C9C7BFBEAF118] mostly because I think a youtube embed is a bit much.
