Lucy \l(u)-cy\ as a girl's name is pronounced LOO-see. It is of Latin origin, and the meaning of Lucy is "light".

I was going to be named for my grandmother, but she doesnt really like her name, so instead she named me Lucy.

Apparently the name Wyatt can either be derived from French and mean "Little warrior" or derived from old English and mean "brave in war" or "calm-minded".

They're the names that popped into my head and wouldn't go away. So I ordered a deed poll and officially changed my name.
Rebecca - To bind or tie, captivatingly beautiful.
April - not sure on that one.
Frost - as above.

Jacob--heel, to come on the heel of (after a great-grandfather)
Reuben--either "he sees my suffering" or "he loves me" (not really sure)
Raphael--healer, the angel of the same name (it's entire possible someone changed their last name down my family line to change their luck, based on a jewish tradition that if you change your name, you can change luck)
also, fun fact, we pronounce "ray-feel"

I was named after my late Grandfather on my Dads side he was called James and my parents named me Jamie which derives from the name James in his memory.

Also fun fact but my name was written in stone. It didn't matter if I was born boy or girl my name was going to be Jamie.

Alex P. Keaton, from Family Ties.

Whereas most people who go by "Alex" are named Alexander, Alex is my legal name.

My first name comes from a TV called Tour Of Duty, my name came from Terence Knox's character "Zeke Anderson" although they thought Zeke was too weird so they chose "Zac" because it was a little more common (They thought with Zeke I would have been picked on for it)

Middle name is James, after my Grandfather's middle name

and obviously, my surname is from my parents :p

Originally a friend of my parents suggested naming me after my mother's deceased father who died in a tragic car accident. My parents like it and decided to stick with it, unfortunaly he died of cancer a few months before I was born.

Feels kinda sad to know the guy who came up with my name died a few months before my birth, it would have been nice if I could have met him someday.

My mother saw an advert for a training bra a couple of days before she gave birth to me. The design was called "Emma Jane". She claims to this day that the decision to call me that wasn't concious!

My whole name is of Vietnamese/Chinese origin. The first means spring. Second is pretty and I use my last middle name as a last name. I think it means poem. My parents picked it out for a reason, and my dad said it does have meaning: I?m not sure exactly what it is though.
