In theory Fox is a nickname. In practice only my mom and the IRS call me by my given name so I may as well have nicknames-within-nicknames.

Ex-girlfriends have given me creative pet names like "Asshole", "Fuckhead", "Douchebag", and similar. Mind you, these have emerged after the breakup.

Smidge or Smidget. Two people called me it in middle school and it stuck since then. Only some people call me it though so it's not exactly replacing my name. I did end up using it as my gamertag.

Morgan Moo. I believe it stemmed from the fact that my brother couldn't pronounce my name when he was young. It started off as a pet name that only my family used, but my friends call me Moo now, or Mo.

People just call me by my last name, almost everyone in school, football, etc because it's super common and everywhere I go there are multiple people with my first name. The wierd thing is, people also call my brother by our last name.
As for my friends, everyone has a nickname. Two of my friends literally have the same first and last names, and they lived together. So the one that's from Winnipeg, we call clone, the one from Thunder Bay we call Wendigo.

It's funny though, as other people who know me find it wierd that I also respond to Franko when my first name is Martin.
