Half Life 2 when I was 15. Pirated copy, several triggers didn't work.
Additionally I was so bad at playing PC games that I noclipped through some of the best parts, including all of Ravenholm.
The first M-rated game I ever played was either Doom, Wolfenstien or Duke Nukem on the computer. The First M-rated game I owned was Mortal Kombat on the SNES, and I was eleven or twelve when I played those games.
I started playing Doom when I was 3. But I think the first one that belonged to me was Perfect Dark when I was 11. I got it for Christmas. Great times.
The first one I bought myself was GTA III, which I got with my PS2. I was happy for a long, long time afterwards.
The first M-rated game I played on a long time scale was Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, probably when I was around 12 or so, but I think I played a tad of GTAIII before then, but not much. It hasn't made me violent at all; how about THAT, Fox News?! xD
My uncle gave me GTA2 back when I was 7 for the PS1. He just said, "here, prove Greg (his friend from work who said I shouldnt have the game) wrong." I handled it really well, and every year after that he got me another GTA game. I never saw the big deal.
But the first game I ever bought myself that was M was Persona 3 Fes.
