Where would you hide a dead body?

If that were the case how much evidence could they actually get from that body? I'm no sewer expert but wouldn't it be covered in everybody's stuff? You might be fine unless they had some reason to suspect you or you have some tie to the person. Right?

If it was a random murder you should be fine, however they will still be able to discern time of death and cause of death and thus giving them a general idea of the murder weapon. They would also be able to identify the body either through facial recognition or if you're lucky and the body has decayed enough for that to be impossible (unlikely since the sewer will clog but ya never know) they can still identify them via dental records or by cross-referencing missing people.

So yeah they can get quite a lot, not to mention unless they find evidence pointing otherwise, they know you're in the general region.

I'd find an average place out in the woods, not to out of the way but out enough so that no one would come along while I dug a hole about 12 feet deep, then I'd bury the body in the very bottom of the hole fill it up about 7-8 feet and then put a dead dog in the hole and fill in the rest. See this way if the cops come looking with a hound or something and start digging they will find the dog and assume it's a false positive

If I had to, I would do the whole bleach, lime, get rid of blood and teeth, dump it in the local lake that isn't for swimming, and one of the few that doesn't dry up in summer.

If I had no connection to the person (i.e. random killing [which I personally wouldn't do], or it's someone else's dirty work) I would dump it on one of the lakes that DO dry up, just to mess with the cops.

The method that I would use is to drain some of the blood from the victim for use later. Then cut off any potential body parts that could be used to identify the body, like teeth, hands, feet, and any implants. Then wrap the body in a tarp and take it 20 miles into the wilderness. Use the blood from earlier to attract any local coyotes, and the wildlife will do the rest. Also best to move sometime in the next few years, just in case the police find the remains and are able to link it to a missing persons report.

OT: I'd break in somewhere with a hot furnace and burn the body to ashes. The ashes I would either bury in a random person's garden or dump in a body of water.

Well if your going to kill someone do it in a foreign country. You go on a vacation to a foreign country and like the last day of your vacation you murder someone in a decently hidden place, by the time anyone finds the body you're out of the country.

Probably chop it up into pieces, try and dissolve the meat somehow, possibly bones if the acid is strong enough. Then take the waste and go to some secret areas on my local beach and bury it deep, DEEP into the sand dunes.


On topic, I've never understood how people get caught with murders.. especially if it's a random target that you have no connections to and if there were no witnesses/video footage. Always astounds me how police catch murderers who kill randomly and dispose of bodies way out in the woods.

I grew up on a pig farm and I assure you this is not fiction. If you want a corpse gone forever, this IS the way to go.

Failing that, dismembering, burying deep with quicklime, unless you can find some kind of acid, or ensuring it gets to the bottom of the ocean. Pressure will pulverize it into fishfood, and the chances of coming across it as minuscule. Someone mentioned putting concrete in it. This also works; as getting it off the bottom will be a massive undertaking.

If there's no change of dealing with the body (If you've seen Looper, kinda like that) I guess I would just chop it to pieces, but keeping the limbs. Just duct tape all those limbs to myself and I would unstoppable in Twister!

You could also just "dress it up" and just dump it in a river or what not. So long as it won't be found for a week or so; you're golden.
