any of the games I've seen said besides call of duty, the only skill for the more recent ones ones is making good classes and picking the right things after that, spray spray spray, spray spray, killstreak, spray spray spray, camp, spray

I've never played the game, but my friend told me it was one hit kill anywhere and it had no... erm... forgot the word... where it doesn't go exactly where you shoot. So, basically, it fires exactly where the sights are pointed and is an instant kill. And when everyone can run around and no-scope with it, yeah, pretty sure it takes no skill.Dawkter said:You guys can get dumber than I thought. Any game that has OHKO completely ruins the game and makes it no skill?Assassin Xaero said:Sorry for insulting your beloved Counter Strike... damn fanboys...Quesa said:I searched youtube for "Red Orchestra Sniper" and this was the first search result:Assassin Xaero said:Wait, isn't that the game that has that sniper rifle, the AWP or something, that does one hit kills no matter where you hit someone? Yeah, then that game REALLY takes skill.
OT: Red Orchestra.

[sarcasm]Leg shot kill one minute in. How horribly unrealistic, clearly this game requires no skill.[/sarcasm]
Don't be such a close-minded child. I wouldn't argue Counter-Strike requires the MOST skill, but to say it requires none (or little) is absurd. Counter-Strike is not remotely realistic, leave it at that. That's the primary reason I prefer CS to CS:S.
-sigh-
there is no best gun, because whatever gun you use, someone can use another gun,or the same gun better then you.dathwampeer said:There's also a best gun in CS. The AWP.Mazty said:I had written a whole wall to text but thought this reply would elaborate my point quite well.dathwampeer said:What I said was the UMP is the most overpowered gun.
You admit there is a best gun.
Therefore you admit the game is imbalanced.
Having a best gun means that skill is nullified to an extent.
You claimed no FPS requires more skill than another. Clearly you are wrong as some games are balanced meaning you cannot rely on the power of a gun to help you win.
Plus go play Shattered Horizon as you blatantly have no idea what you are talking about.
Just shot your own argument in the foot there. Let's hope it wasn't with an AWP.
You know, I never really had any problems with lag in BF:BC2, is it really that bad?feather240 said:If you don't lag out first... -,-Irriduccibilli said:Battlefield BC2. It takes skill to work properly with your teammates, and everyone knows that teamwork is the key to succes in Battlefield

It does?! Thought it was only in BFBC2 !(looks back at missed shots)Tsaba said:That's because Battlefield has bullet drop.Steve5513 said:Battlefield 2 is horrible. Worst hit detection in any game I've ever seen.
I believe Arma takes a little bit of skill, I can't think of any other game at the moment that hasn't been stated.
Yeah. The most likely scenario is they would fall into the negative kills.can said:Quake is an exception to the rule lol, take someone from cod and make them play quake against an experienced player and they likely won't get any kills.Wahful said:INB4 "Halo, Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk."
TO be honest though, most FPS's play the same in my opinion! So if you are skilled in one your skilled in all them.
Strictly speaking it is an RPG but having 100% in small guns doesn't mean you will always hit your desired target, just where you're aiming. It does take skill to shoot the gun without VATS no matter what your stats are, they just define how accurate the shot is. You can't say it doesn't take the same sort of skills that a normal FPS takes just because it's an RPG. If it's in first person an you use a gun it can be filed as an FPS.Kakulukia said:That's because Fallout 3 is not an FPS. It's a true RPG through and through. Even if you shoot manually, whether you hit your target or not isn't based on your skill as a player, it's based on your character's skill with the weapon. The Unworthy Gentleman said:Fallout 3 without VATS. That game didn't have great shooting mechanics outside of VATS and took a bit of skill to come to terms with the shooting. It was even worse in third person mind.
