I'm more of a function over aesthetics man myself when it comes to something like this. I agree that the PSone is a nice looking console, this is advantaged by the fact that its small enough to almost any space you can find. I thought that the PS2 Slim was also quite sleek. I think sony tries to make their console sleek but the PS3's sleekness is ruined by its monolithic size.
I loved the look of the N64, as much as I liked the Original xbox, it was ugly as fuck. The 360 looks alright, although in my opinion, the ps3 looks better although I don't own one.
I know i'll be the only one to say this, but the Game Cube wasn't too bad. I mean, it fit nicely in the corner, never was akward to set things on top of. I liked it

Photos never do it justice, in the flesh they are so damn cute. Which may have explained it's poor sales because as any 13 year old boy will tell you, cute = gay.
Althought the controller was a bit 'my first console' it did work very well.
It also looks like an enormous Chewit.

Other than that? I can't think of a console that I'd happily let sit on display if I wasn't getting regular use out of it.

For consoles the Genesis and Saturn were pretty nice looking machines. The PS2 was also pretty cool looking and it's monolithic look foreshadowed it's rise to glory. Gamecube was a great looking console too, and I never understood why people hated the thing, AWESOME system.
As for Hand helds, the DS and PSP are the best looking hand helds I've ever seen.
