My favorite god would be that real one, what's his name?
Charles Darwin, that's right.

Kidding of course, I actually enjoy Old Testament God, as well as the Egyptian Horus and Norse Loki.
Still, my favorite has to be the Greek Athena, as portrayed outside of the God of War series for those of you who have no other experience with the Greek plethora of deities.

Also Buddha, but he's not a God, just a man who reached enlightenment.

I always go with Athena. One of the less-mad deities of the Greek Pantheon. Sure, she's a goddess of war, but tends to be on the side of strategy and diplomacy than all-out KILL MAIM BURN as per Khorne.

I am between the Gods Khorne and Khaine as to my favourite Warhammer Gods as I like the style and lore surrounding both of those Gods, in ancient civilisations my favourite would be either Horus or Hades.

I have always found death gods to be fascinating. They more than any other Gods really give an insight into how these other cultures view the world, and their place in it. They range the gamut from the peaceful (Hades), the judgmental (Anubis, Osiris), and the violent (Mictlantecuhtli, Satan). Fascinating stuff.

Profound sense of meaning and existence? Comforting notions of life beyond death? A good and just ruling? Has a Jackals head?

Which of the endless supply of deities and divine religious figures do you take a preference to?

I dont necessarily mean "What is your religion".....just which big cheese in the sky you take the biggest liking to or enjoy hearing legends about?

I personally can't get enough of the legends of Zeus...and the war with the titans in particular. Did you know that Zeus' father Kronos ate his children for fear of reprisal? Because he himself castrated his OWN father Oranous with a scythe?

Anything that came after the Old Testament isn't worth mentioning, and all the ancient ones that come in dozens or hundreds of assorted flavours are bound not to work as advertised. Humans are a silly bunch of creatures, the more choice you give them the more peculiar they tend to get.

I like reading about the Egyptian gods, but seeing what a shithole most of that country is today doesn't do the trick for me. I like reading about the Greek Gods of old, but Greece today isn't much of a god-forsaken gem, now, is it. If I was a Greek God, I'd have a sex change and seek asylum and start from scratch somewhere else.

The northern Gods seem like a sensible bunch, but there's a reason or two why they aren't around much these days. Yahweh or the highway it is for me. Anything else merely amuses me or makes me sad.

The Emperor is a fantastic ruler, no-one can deny that his fighting an eternal psychic battle with Chaos has been good for humanity. But as a God he's not terribly relevant.

So I'd have to go with the Old-English deity Woden, as a father-figure and a generally cool and laid-back kinda God.
