Bahamut from Final Fantasy 4. It's as worthy as any god mentioned here. It just needs a backstory and followers.

Well, I've always been a good fan of the christian god, even if I don't believe in it.

The guy/girl has spawned more art and literature than anything else on this planet, and to be honest, his tales are quite entertaining.

Oh what's that humanity? you want to reach me with a tower? WELL NOW YOU SPEAK DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, HAHAHA!

oh what's that humanity? you are behaving bad? Well why don't you drown a little? AHHAHAHA!

He is a badass and he has a lot of fun doing his job.

I'm pretty sure having the head of a jackal is the best qualification for greatest diety I can think of so I'm going Anubis. Loki is pretty cool too.

the abrahamic god... honestly where are his competitors... gone crushed or demonized, if one is to judge religion upon success the 6000 year history, and more specifically the latest 2000 is more than enough proof of his superiority. how much blood, tears, exaltation and sacrifice has not been given to him, the numbers are greater than any other religion.

still by virtue of poetic aesthetics i should mention other favorites, like athena the virgin goddess of wisdom and tactical warfare as well as single combat, born out of zeaus' head and bearer of the strongest shield in "existence" the aegis

or apep the serpentine personification of unrestrained chaos and nothingness, devourer of the sun, gods and death itself.

and finally augustus, deified after death, a son of a god known to exist and do great things, like his adoptive, and also deified before him

Lorkhan.
Both Sheogorath and Jyggalag.
ALMSIVI.

Yes, I am that much of a fanboy.

Edit: Oh yeah, also, all Lovecraftian Gods.

Cthulhu. You know where you stand with a devourer of worlds.

ïa! ïa! Cthulhu fhtagn!

Cthulhu waits dead-dreaming, in all His tentacley glory, for the stars to align just right. We, His faithful, await His inevitable rise from R'lyeh.

If you consider Celestia and Luna gods, then Celestia and Luna.

Otherwise, it's a toss up between Sheogorath and Akatosh for me.

I love all kinds of mythology- Greek/Roman, Norse, Japanese, Egyptian... so yeah, I'm into that... (wait can I pick more than one? 'Cause I'd like to add Haruhi Suzumiya and Foamy the Squirrel to the list...)

I know he's not a god but the legends of Cú Chulainn from Irish mythology are probably some of my favourites.

Apollo is probably my favourite god, not just because I am an artist and because I love the things he represents but also because he reminds me of my father.

Otherwise, I like Hades, Hephaestus(extremely underrated), Odin, Osiris, Horus and Isis.

My parents. They created me and set out the rules by which to live. Those rules formed much of my personality.

My Elder scrolls fan-boy wants to scream Talos... just to piss those poncy Thalmor off.
But It's either Thor, or Sanguine, Deadric prince of hedonism, and dark indulgences.

I am at your service, Hostep.

Shouldn't it be "gods" with a small G, indicating that you are not meaning any specific God or rather gods in general?

Just saying.

I wanted to try to be a little more mature and respond with an actual 'IRL' god, but then i thought of Sheogorath.
