Who is the most awesome character from a book?

Aewyre from Filipe Faria's "Chronicles of Allaryia". If ever you get ahold of a translation from this portuguese writer, don't hesitate, buy it. He's from Christopher Paolini's generation of Tolkien like writers, but way better. He's a bloody brilliant High Fantasy writer *.*

If you haven't read anything by David Gemmell I highly recommend him as a Heroic Fantasy writer.

V From V For vendetta is also another choice, He's the equivalent of a british altair. Climbig buildings, assassinating important people with a hidden blade and covering most of himself and his face. Apparently the comic was written in such a way so that you could conclude yourself whether V was blowing up things and killing people for a cause or whether he's just insane.

*Elric of Melnebone'- not the most heroic or epic of the lot, but none the less fairly awesome; soul-sucking sword and all
