Quiche is good, but it has to be fresh and hot. Cold Quiche is just about the worst thing ever. It's like cold scrambled eggs wrapped in soggy pastry. Errgh.

Sausage Mushroom Quiche
Ingredients:
1/2 pound pork sausage
3/4 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup butter
2 frozen pie crusts, thawed and ready to bake
1 cup heavy cream
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Bake pie shells in the preheated oven until edge of crust is golden, about 10 minutes. Set crust aside, and lower the heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, and stir in the sausage. Cook and stir until the sausage is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Place the sausage on a towel lined plat,e and discard any excess grease from the pan. Add the mushrooms and butter to the skillet, and cook and stir until the mushrooms are a light golden brown, about 5 minutes. Spread sausage and mushrooms evenly over the bottom of pie crusts.
3. Combine the cream, eggs, flour, butter, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Pour into the pastry crust, allowing egg mixture to thoroughly cover the sausage mixture. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese.
4. Bake until light and puffy, about 35 minutes. Allow to stand 10 minutes before slicing.

Never knew people considered quiche unmanly, nor do I understand why they would... it's just food. If you like something, why would you deprive yourself of it?
Personally, I don't like the taste of quiche (at least not the ones I've tried so far), so I steer clear of it, but I'm certainly secure enough in my masculinity to enjoy other things some people consider unmanly. Mmmmhhh, appletini...

I don't really like eggs so I've never cared for quiche never noticed a gender gap in quiche appreciation either though. I could see how since it isn't exactly one of the more common types of food to come across some people form bad impression without trying it or with a single bad exerience. Plus it just sounds weird. Quiche, quiche quiche, QUICHE, quichquichequiche, quiiiiiche, keeshe. What was I talking about again?

This has clearly only developed because only the most manly of men can handle the sheer bacon and egg content of a well prepared quiche!
But on a more serious note, who the hell cares? If someone seriously has a problem with me being male and enjoying quiche, then I think it's them that has serious mental and social problems. Not something I even need to concern myself with.

I love quiche. It's easy as balls to make, even if you go with the potato crust, and you can put just about ANYTHING into it. It's all fancy-like, and if you only put in a little bacon, it's pretty healthy.
Put it this way: Ever have a really good omelette? It's like that, but it's PIE! Maybe it's just the chef/fatty in me, but I find that concept to be a LOT of awesome.

I don't know what you're talking about, quiche is delicious. I mean, it's egg, cheese, bacon and pastry. What's not to love?
