A few weeks ago I got a sandwich that I assumed was chicken, I ate it and it was a pretty good sandwich.

Later on I'm talking with some friends and I bring up the sandwich, turned out it was quiche. I found it hilarious, because before that moment I'd never been to keen on quiche because of, like you mentioned, the fact that it's kind of a taboo food.

I have never heard of a such thing as 'unmanly' food. To me, there is tasty food (my opinion) and untasty food (also opinion). If someone makes something that tastes awesome, I wouldn't care if it was named Shit on a Shingle, or Pansy wee lassy meal. Food is food.
