Why don't YOU have Skyrim?

I earn barely over what you would get on job seekers allowance in the UK, and I spend most of it on visiting my girlfriend, while saving money for Christmas, I haven't bought any new releases over the last couple of months.

1) Some recent purchases have made me rather broke.

2) I have other things I'm playing right now to occupy my time.

3) People obsessively screaming it at me. It's reached the point where I Just. Don't. Care. Anymore.

I have it, I'm just not playing it. Only messed around with it for about three hours, then decided that I'm going to give it to my girlfriend to hide from me until I'm done my essays and exams. Good system so far, I'm only chain smoking from withdrawal haha.

Because, as I've done with all Bethesda RPGs, I'm waiting for the inevitable GOTY edition (or whatever they end up calling it) a year from now where they bundle the first 2 expansions or so with it.

I don't have Skyrim because I'm poor and I don't really want to play a game based on tossing Rupert Murdoch's salad. (That's what it's about, right? I somehow missed out on the colossal media campaign...)

B. I know that in about a year or so they're going to release a potentially cheaper version of Skyrim that will include all the DLC sidequests in it. Buying it now would make absolutely no sense to me.

C. Somehow I knew we would also be hearing about all the crashes and framerate issues we've been hearing about. I must be psychic right?

I love Bethesda games but I'm going to wait until they release the obligatory "big patch" that shows up anywhere from 2-6 months after launch. By the time they released New Vegas' big patch, the price dropped to $20. But by that time, I'll probably just wait for goty.

Bethesda games at launch just aren't worth the frustration.

Because I need to buy a ps3 first which means getting a job which means getting the school situation sorted out

Why on earth would you get a ps3 to play a Bethesda game? Their ps3 ports are notoriously horrible.

I'm waiting for the GOTY edition since there's likely to be a lot of DLC like Fallout 3 and Oblivion that I might as well wait. And, of course, I need to wait for a few good mods to be released. What's an Elder Scroll game without mods?

Don't have the extra cash or time to invest in it. Maybe once it's one sale and I have more than a day of freetime in a month, I might get around to it.

I have a ton of games I haven't gotten around to yet...and odds are, if I buy it right now, by the time I get to Skyrim the GOTY edition will be out...so I may as well wait and get the version with all the DLC, maybe even cheaper than the game is right now

On an Assassins Creed Bend right now in the middle of Revelations I'll probably get it when I'm done and also when I went to take a look they were out of stock so when I'm done they will probably have more copies.
