Oh hey, something on topic.

Just found those, felt like sharing.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-wiiu-e3-2012

It's comparison screenshots between the Wii U version of Arkham City and all other versions.

I don't know guys, I think those look pretty good. Expecially since the big improvement seems to be the sharpness (See wall ornament, convict's clothing...), and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that something related to Anti-Aliasing?

Soooooo.... You all really care that much about graphics? Haha don't play Xenoblade then.

Wii had some of the best games this gen. Wii-U will follow the same path of innovative ideas and using the tech well to make good games. But, you hate on it.

FYI, I work in a RadioShack and you guys really have NOOOOO IDEA how fast tablets sell. This is going to make BIG MONEY.
The WiiU isn't a tablet... it's a gaming system with a controller that looks like a tablet. Difference.

HAH. Is that difference worth $400?
No. No it isn't. More so when AA will be over a year old when the Wii U is released.
Way to miss the point. ^^

The question is less of it's interesting for people who already have the xbox360 version. If you don't have a Xbox 360 or PS3 yet, though, the difference is probably about 150$, plus I would use this as an indication that the hardware is indeed more powerful then Xbox 360 and the PS3. How much we don't know. We will see.

In a world where soon-to-be-2-generation-old consoles still look good "outdated" is an odd term to throw around. You can deliver games that look good even if you're still using an ancient AGP graphics card. You can deliver games that look good on a processor that barely clears 1 ghz and has only one core. The specs don't matter. If anything the issue is that Nintendo is going to fall far enough behind the tech curve that third party developers have to choose between the Microsoft / Sony consoles and the Nintendo console. Because we all know how the ports work.

The actual issue is that while Nintendo is a publicly traded company it has a hard time wrestling with the fact that while it has some wildly imaginative console concepts, it just never really finds a way to make them easy to develop with for third party developers, who typically are your post-release bread and butter.

Someone higher up in Capcom said it years ago but when you develop a game for Nintendo, your worst enemy is Nintendo.

I am so mad about how stupid Nintendo were with the wii that I hope it will fail. While the wii had average at best hardwares, whenever someone actually tried to make a good game on it they weren't held back too much. The thing is that for every awesome, worth your money game, you get 10 ps2 ports and 100 shovelware games.

Smartphones, tablets and social gaming will cripple any hope that casual players will move to the WiiU, while Hardcore fans will be pissed by no good games for a while. Another problem that I see is that back in the last generations, a lot of kids had grown up loving nintendo 64 and gamecube(I certainly was) so they ended up buying a WII. Kids this generation grew up with the ps3 and xbox360 and will dismiss the WiiU as a kid's system.

Maybe because YOU'RE the one to portray them in a negative light?? I haven't portrayed them badly so yeah....Top job bro.
Mario Kart150CC on hard < Gran Turismo

I can't have fun with mario kart because I've played so many games I can't, and won't, skirt over the fundamental flaws in the game.

Well at the moment I'm playing DS on normal and it's a joke it's so easy. Not a bad game, but not challenging either. I play MoH and at the moment I'm in the top 1k players whilst having spent 1/4 of the time on it as to other people at the same skill level. I'll try to record a game and show you what I mean in the next few days. And I agree that grinding is nothing to do with skill but just time and is a type of gameplay worthy of criticism.
Does medal of honour even have 1k active players anymore?

Gran Turismo isn't hard, the only thing holding you back is your car. The difficulty stays the same and just requires you to grind until your car matches or surpasses the cars you are racing against.
Don't be petty, there are plenty of players on MoH and most have a skill of around 5k, whereas I'm at 11k and as I said, I've done that in 1/4 of the time of other players.

Gran Turismo is infinitely harder then Mario karts. Even with a good car in GT (ignoring the latest) you have to pass the licenses to progress and that requires skill to progress.

I play on the PC so if you have any MP games I'd have a 1 on 1 with you to prove my point.
Hard you want hard?

F-ZERO bam your already dead.
Also note that mario kart is a very notable example.
So yes they are hard games.

I'm gonna nitpick a bit, but this post annoyed me greatly, so:

1. "I am so mad about how stupid Nintendo were with the wii that I hope it will fail." Any elaboration on why they were stupid? IMO, at least they made gamers out of lots of people who were new to the industry, a key part of it, you know, surviving.

1. "The thing is that for every awesome, worth your money game, you get 10 ps2 ports and 100 shovelware games" Most consoles end up with this kind of ratio, it's not just the Wii.

2. "...whenever someone actually tried to make a good game on it they weren't held back too much" Care to elaborate on the whole "being held back" thing? Grapichally held back or what?

3. "Hardcore fans will be pissed by no good games for a while" What indicates that there will not be any "good" games for a while, how do you "know" this when you don't know what games are coming out? How long is "a while" in this situation?

4. "Kids this generation grew up with the ps3 and xbox360 and will dismiss the WiiU as a kid's system" A shitload of kids this generation grew up with a Wii, and dumbfucks that dismiss things for being kiddy are insecure and stupid.
Also, going on a bit of a tangent here, the industry NEEDS kids to survive. Nintendo is one of the only companies trying to introduce kids to the medium and by extension ensure it's future, but people just give them shit for it because they're not TEH HARDCOREZ!!1 and their games don't feature musclebound, swearing space marines hiding behind boxes or some crap.
