I'm fairly sure the things she did in the scene would have killed her baby. Leaving the flinging herself around on the floor aside, the shockwaves from the various explosion also probably would be harmful as well as they can internally rupture organs in a fully grown person, let alone a baby. I dunno, I suppose there isn't must research into how close an ungrown child can be to grenade/mech explosion without it's tiny baby heart exploding.Rip Van Rabbit said:

It's a good thing people can see this light entertainment for what it really is and, you know...pick apart the nitty gritty of every over the top scene as if its supposed to be some grounded, gritty indie documentary. Thank GOD we have such committed Aryans to direct us to the white light.

That scene was funny, Anya was a badass throat cutter in the first game too.

Seriously though, it's less than a minute in a game that is supposedly 9-12 hours and very good, is this the hill you want to die on?
Also didn't Serena Williams win the Ausralian open while pregnant? Granted she was only 3 months or so at the time but thats a grueling athletic competition compared to a run and slide tackle. Oh shit, I just started debating realism in the context of a game about Nazi magic and super science, I've let the idiots win.

Reviewers also kept it a secret because it really isn't something that should be spoiled IMO. Not knowing the about Raiden beforehand definitely enhanced my experience of the game. You should really just know the most basic premise of the story going into anything, any story beats or twists should not be known.Saelune said:

If you came to this game for "serious story", you're definitely on the wrong boat. An understandable case, since New Order kind of flip flopped between seriousness and the Metal Gear Solid esque alternate history circus, but the second installment is purely in the latter.PurplePonyArcade said:
Probably the same comparison I'd use for the over-the-top "mature" bits too. The same stuff was in MGS, and probably for the same mix of some writer wanting to see how dramatically edgy they could be and/or stir up chatter over it.
