Should've used Craigslist.

I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that she tried to do this or the fact that someone was actually going to take her up on the offer.
No the worst part is she got custody.

According to Lieutenant John Walker, "It's shocking that people are just so stupid."

Really John Walker? Really? All you gotta do is spend 30 seconds with your average common meatbag in the street and you'll realize that most people aren't playing with a full deck of cards.

Nope, not surprised and do hope that they continue to weed out the stupid criminals with the intent to kill.

Dear Escapist,

I'm STILL waiting on you to design a shirt, or a stamp, or even a pin, with that 'Officially a bad idea' logo on it. I honestly think you'd make a killing.

On Topic: (rolls eyes and shakes head).

No, really. This actually happened.

Facebook is used to meet a lot of people these days. It's used to meet new friends, to find dates, and even to make business contacts. However, this is a pretty unusual use for the social network: A young mother was recently busted for trying to find a hitman on Facebook.

20-year-old Eley London of Philadelphia was arrested last week after she made an insane-sounding status update: "I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father." In case you're unaware, "a stack" is $1,000.

It turns out that London wound up generating some interest in her offer, and found herself with a genuine offer. Investigators are saying that an 18-year-old named Tim Bynum replied to London's status update, saying he'd be willing to carry out the hit so long as he was paid up front. Meanwhile, the planned target of this would-be assassination was one Corey Jerome White. White's mother saw London's status and the ensuing messages on Facebook, so she contacted her son. Shortly after that, the authorities got involved, arrests were made, and (presumably) faces were palmed.

London was arrested on June 10, charged with conspiracy to commit murder, and is being held on $250,000 vail. Bynum was arrested two days later, charged with attempted murder and a weapons charge, and is currently being held on $350,000 bail.

According to Lieutenant John Walker, "It's shocking that people are just so stupid."

Truer words were never spoken.

You know what's even sadder than crap like this happening, crap like this happening and working. Reading this all I could think about is how that one guy hired someone to rape his ex by pretending to be her on Craigslist using pictures of her from her facebook page. They all got cought, but it was to late....

The funniest part for me is the 18 year old who accepted the offer. I don't know how but almost every kid from 14-18 thinks they're so bloody tough these days, that no-one can beat them. It's hilarious and this kid sounds like he's the same cocky, egotistical, ignorant fool that the rest of them are.

I love a good quote to end a stupid moment.
Question. Did she actually think she would get away with it?

No wait. Better question. If she were to say this out loud, do you think she would have noticed how stupid this plan was?

Just make a Hitman group where the terms of service state that all police and people working for the police must state that info or they can be sued and charged for treason.

Name it HitBook and people will finally be able to get a good hitman through a social network of and play all those cool little games.

I love stupid people they make me happy, just as TV makes me feel sane.

I know right? It'd have to be at least $10000 before I considered that offer!

That's okay. I laughed [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ActuallyPrettyFunny].

Anyway, she always got in arguments with other people. You could hear her from down the hall and to tell you the truth. She was sort of a drama queen/ super duper kamehameha *****.

Was a seventh grader when I met her. 15 years old and a bully. 2006 was not a good year for the poor doctor. Last I heard of her, she had a kid.

Other then that, that's all I recall of her.

People are so dumb, it is, quite frankly, astounding. I don't know what's worse, offering money for someone to be killed, or being the person who takes the offer seriously. *Facepalm* God, world, why?

Assassins and Hitmen used to be something in my day, when they wouldn't take a mere grand for even a cat! How insulting to such hard working professionals!

*Ahem* With that out of my system..
