Seriously 'boobalicious'?
Why not save yourself the embarrassment of a bad euphimism and just say "IT HELPS SHOW OFF HER BOOBS HUR HUR HUR."

I would have preferred if they didn't focus so much on making her a masturbation tool.

Personally, I think the show should use the rebooted comic imagery that cast the Amazon woman hero in a more modern outfit, but that's probably just me.

Finally! Someone else who likes the new (comics) Wonder Woman uniform! I thought I was the only one!

Yes, I too think the newer costume design would have been better used here. Especially since there are so many more feminist watchdogs out there these days (not slander, in this case I'm agreeing with them) who seem to nitpick on smaller and smaller details.
But, I suppose you're never going to please the horny fanboys unless its the original...

Oh, so much better than that first costume they were using. Thank you comic book overlords. Thank you.

Classic. I love that show. :)
I've never seen that show before. When I first looked at the clip talking about child psychology, I assumed someone had done a comedy dub. Is it any good?

It's the same costume, albeit with less photoshop and makeup... And intense white light...

What you did there.

I see it.

OT: I can't say I'm thrilled by the look of the show. Costume's okay, actress wearing it, eh...

I'm glad she's in pants and out of those heels! Watching that clip of her running/jumping on that car would have been agonizing if the poor actress had to do it in stilettos and with bare knees. Ouch. Still not thrilled about the fabrics used (like people have said...kind of cheesy, albeit better than before) but the overall outfit seems like a good mix of dramatic/sexy and practical. :)
This! It's a shame the bodice still looks like it's made of flimsy plastic that she's about to fall out of any minute, but I'm so incredibly glad they've got rid of the heels.

It's great, especially if you grew up watching the Superman and Batman cartoon series back in the nineties. They brought back all the original voice actors for it. Justice League Unlimited is great too. Try to find them on youtube or something. If you like comics, these are certainly worth watching.

I have no idea what you're talking about... *whistles* No, really. That was a total accident. :)

OT: It could be good, honestly. I hope it is. We certainly don't have enough proper heroines these days (I'm looking at you, Other M!), and Wonder Woman could certainly kick-start others.

Personally, I think both outfits look terrible. She should get rid of the new one...slowly, with some Marvin Gaye playing in the background...

Do they have to make a Wonder Woman TV show? I mean don't they have some costume fetish porn you could whack-off to already?

Seriously... do they. Links?

Gee what a nice thing to say about one of the oldest, coolest and still interesting characters in Superhero comics.

Wonder Woman is the other third of the DC Universe 'Holy Trinity'. The character deserves some respect and some decent reinvention: this appalling looking TV show does neither of things and as such I hope it is consigned to the deepest circles of Tartarus for the rest of time.

And reinvention doesn't just extend to her outfit, it would have to apply to her purpose of being in the human world, since oppression of women is no longer an issue in the Western world. I mean it would be cathartic to say, send Wonder Woman on a trip to Saudi Arabia and see how long it takes her to start punting people into the sea, but would be in poor taste. So while her personal background and origin may largely remain the same, her purpose needs tweaking.

From our meta perspective, sure the classic suit can look gawdy, weird or over revealing. In universe well, how smart do you think it is to call a woman who can bench press tectonic plates, fly at three times the speed of sound and is bullet proof, a whore?

Improvement. Will need to see an ep before deciding if the actress has sufficient physical presence and a touch of talent.

But yeah, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman gave me a lifelong love of tall buxom women with dark hair and pale eyes. I would like to see this show succeed, but doubt that it will.

I think the root of the issue is that people are trying to use the character as some kind of promotional role-model, and statement on what modern women should be like. That is however NOT what this character is supposed to be about. Wonder Woman is an outsider, and extremely arrogant abut how she does things, arrogance being her Kryptonite when you get down to it.

Wonder Woman walking around and looking a bit trashy, which is at odds with what she actually is, and how she behaves, is part of the character. The animated bit with the comments about how Wonder Woman dresses and her reaction are right on the money, and that's pretty much what the developers of this TV series should keep in mind.

Also understand that Wonder Woman's idea of feminism is a bit differant than what you see presented today. She *IS* a bit of an exhibitionist, but being a bit aloof and arrogant it's not always apparent that she enjoys the attention.

To put things into perspective, even looking at comics like "Young Justice", there are comments about her wardrobe. Among them the kids talking about being nervouse about being caught staring at her cleavage, and then when she makes a comment on it reprimanding them they mention admiring the eagle and her reaction makes it quite clear she's getting exactly the reaction she wanted (it's been a while, and I'm sure other, similar things have happened). Not to mention the bit with Wonder Girl (the Young Justice version) not wanting
to wear the costume Diana made for her.

It's good to see they are listening to the fans, but really I think the entire image they have in mind doesn't work for the character. I think the problem is that rather than doing a show about Wonder Woman, they are trying to create an entirely new character based on their own attitudes and projections and call it Wonder Woman.

MUCH improved.

So long as they know what they're doing with the camera and editing, this could be a pretty graceful comic-to-film costume transition, which tends to be really, really rare.
