I think the root of the issue is that people are trying to use the character as some kind of promotional role-model, and statement on what modern women should be like. That is however NOT what this character is supposed to be about. Wonder Woman is an outsider, and extremely arrogant abut how she does things, arrogance being her Kryptonite when you get down to it.
Wonder Woman walking around and looking a bit trashy, which is at odds with what she actually is, and how she behaves, is part of the character. The animated bit with the comments about how Wonder Woman dresses and her reaction are right on the money, and that's pretty much what the developers of this TV series should keep in mind.
Also understand that Wonder Woman's idea of feminism is a bit differant than what you see presented today. She *IS* a bit of an exhibitionist, but being a bit aloof and arrogant it's not always apparent that she enjoys the attention.
To put things into perspective, even looking at comics like "Young Justice", there are comments about her wardrobe. Among them the kids talking about being nervouse about being caught staring at her cleavage, and then when she makes a comment on it reprimanding them they mention admiring the eagle and her reaction makes it quite clear she's getting exactly the reaction she wanted (it's been a while, and I'm sure other, similar things have happened). Not to mention the bit with Wonder Girl (the Young Justice version) not wanting
to wear the costume Diana made for her.
It's good to see they are listening to the fans, but really I think the entire image they have in mind doesn't work for the character. I think the problem is that rather than doing a show about Wonder Woman, they are trying to create an entirely new character based on their own attitudes and projections and call it Wonder Woman.
