Hmm... this just seems like an excuse for people to pretend they don't care about their gamerscore while telling everyone what it is.

EDIT: Anyone else wondering if he hacked his gamerscore.
Kind of I guess I do a bit of math...
4 years equals 48 months.
500,000 divided by 48 = 10,416.67 points a month or roughly 2,604.17 points a week.

He'd have to make 372.023 points a day to get that score in 4-years that's alot of free time and/or really easy gamerscore games.

Impressive, I'm not all that high in gamerscore myself due to only a moderate interest in achievements. That and while I buy and play a lot of games, only a few wind up sucking me in enough to finish them and get a bunch of achievements. If I'm not having fun with doing something I'm not going to torture myself for gamerscore.

Otherwise, I wish the guy luck with his goal! Every hobby (and gaming is a hobby) has enthusiasts that are more fanatical about some aspects than others.

While they don't have to, it would be nice if Microsoft gave him some kind of Trophy or something. :)

He didn't. Microsoft confirmed he's 100% legitimate.
Thats good, I remember hearing rumours a year or so ago that gamerscores could be downloaded or cracked or something.

Yeah there are still a bunch of gamerscore hackers, but Microsoft crack down on them pretty quickly normally.

I think MS confirmed that he's legit. There are a lot of games with piss easy gamerscore points out there. Also, you don't have to buy the games to do this, he probably has Gamefly (like I do) and just rents all this shit. That doesn't work for the arcade titles though. I wonder how many Xbox360's he's gone through (due to RRoD etc.)?

Also, I only have 9,880. However, that includes some achievements that were really, really, really time consuming/annoying to get, like Little Rocket Man on The Orange Box 360 edition.

You do at least have to play alot of games and exhibit some skill to earn a gamerscore that high. It may be silly or trivial but it requires you to accomplish something. What I can't understand is the level of obsession of some people for the top spot on individual game leaderboards.
For example, a week after Dead Rising 2: Case 0 came out, there was a player with over 23,000,000 PP! That essentially meant that he had been playing that game and nothing but that game for A SOLID WEEK! Where's the "achievement" in that?

I'm not meaning to say the points are hacked/cheated/altered but saying he's the exclusive player of the account might be improbable.

Edit Alone or not it's alot done as one profile that's for sure.

He has gotten this far without getting ban for using modio? I guess he diserves some credit, that would be very difficult.

And I was so proud of my 25000. Ah well, I enjoy getting achievements, so I'll get somewhere eventually.

-Raptor, out.

A thousand years ago, people like this guy would have been stuck counting particles of sand.

...Not exactly what I would brag about if it was me, but then again I guess that's why he has omitted his name...

Congratulations, you have just wasted 4 years of your life...? There should be an achievement for that.

Having been for a while the top achiever in a certain awesome browser game, I can say, don't knock the guy just because he wasted a lot of time and money on this. I'd compare the notification of a new achievement to finding a unique Magic card while being an avid Magic player..to finding unexpectedly a diamond on a sea bed amidst the pebbles. If you don't understand me, maybe you simply haven't found the right game for this :)
