The guy who did Napoleon Dynamite. No matter how good his other films are, averaged with Napoleon dynamite he is terrible.

Considering the only other movie in that resume is "Nacho Libre" the title of "worst director ever" doesn't even BEGIN to cover it. Napoleon Dynamite is definitely the worst movie I've ever seen, intensified by my idiot peers quoting it for months on end.

The movie is awful the first time you see it, but upon repeated viewings the unthinkable happens... it becomes FUNNY.

That's probably because your will to live depletes every time you watch it, and by the time you've finished watching it a second time you've officially become a self loathing masochist.

Exploit? Disturbingly, he uses it EXACTLY as intended. So that german directors can make films and not have to worry if they flop. The idea is to stimulate risk-taking, but it just means he can keep churning out films until one makes a profit. There are directors who abuse that law, but Boll isn't one.

That sounds exploit/abuse. He knows his movies will tank pretty hard and still makes movies, so he will make more money than he spends on doing them. He is aware that his movies suck-ass, you just need to turn on the commentary track in any Boll movie.

I mean...come on Mel Brooks did a parody of this type of situation and this guy is doing the exact same thing!

You know, the guys who produced such memorable classics* as 'Date Movie' 'Epic Movie' 'Meet the Spartans' and 'Disaster Movie'.

*The only thing memorable about those movies was to the degree to which they suck, they are parody movies with no element of parody and satire with no satirical elements. They just recreate scenes from movies almost word for word and add fart jokes.
These movies really are the thing that make me loathe the human race.

The only two movies of his I've ever liked were Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, movies where there isn't much ass being kicked by Mr. Statham. I just don't like those blockbuster action movies, save for maybe a few like Rambo and Predator.

OP: For sake of originality I'll say Micheal Bay, I don't remember anything about Uwe Boll's movies, I guess that's a testament to his direcing skills. M. Night Shamalamadingdong is also quite awful, so my opinion's pretty much identical to everyone else's.

There are plenty more good directors than bad ones.

On topic: Uwe Boll is pretty freaking terrible, but he also has crappy actors working for him (And I love Jason Statham, but he's not much of an actor unless he's kicking the shit out of someone). Micheal Bay is fine, so long as you don't take him seriously. IT's like watching a teenager trying to tell you about life: It's cute and you can't help but enjoy it, no matter how wrong they are.

I'll stick with Uwe Boll, though, since Rodriguez showed with El Mariachi that you don't need a huge budget or great actors to make a sweet film.

And I don't hate Michael Bay for the first Transformers (yeah, it features some bad acting, an uncohesive plot, and it also craps all over the original 1980s cartoon series, but it is quite pretty and features some impressive action scenes), I hate him for the barrel of diarrhea that was Pearl Harbor.
