Fo'real now. Uwe Boll. Why? Because he only does movies to exploit a German loop hole in some poorly conceived law.

Considering the only other movie in that resume is "Nacho Libre" the title of "worst director ever" doesn't even BEGIN to cover it. Napoleon Dynamite is definitely the worst movie I've ever seen, intensified by my idiot peers quoting it for months on end.Souplex said:The guy who did Napoleon Dynamite. No matter how good his other films are, averaged with Napoleon dynamite he is terrible.
That's probably because your will to live depletes every time you watch it, and by the time you've finished watching it a second time you've officially become a self loathing masochist. The AI said:The movie is awful the first time you see it, but upon repeated viewings the unthinkable happens... it becomes FUNNY.
Of course, of course. Don't forget Cameron and Herzog, though.Nautical Honors Society said:Coppola, Scorsese, and Tarentino
Exploit? Disturbingly, he uses it EXACTLY as intended. So that german directors can make films and not have to worry if they flop. The idea is to stimulate risk-taking, but it just means he can keep churning out films until one makes a profit. There are directors who abuse that law, but Boll isn't one.oliveira8 said:You forgot Clint Eastwood and Spielberg.Nautical Honors Society said:Coppola, Scorsese, and Tarentino

Pearl Harbor? What about The Island, one of the worst movies I've ever seen. People have been hating on Michael Bay long before Transformers, and for good reason.ravens_nest said:Roger Christian for Battlefield Earth... The actual worst film ever made...
At least Uwe Boll can feel slightly happier by the fact that he didn't make it.
Oh look, more idiots bleating out Michael Bay hate... "Boo hoo, everyone thinks transformers was bad so he must be like the worst director ever! I don't care that I've never seen another Bay film because he's shit and all he does is explosions..."
That sounds exploit/abuse. He knows his movies will tank pretty hard and still makes movies, so he will make more money than he spends on doing them. He is aware that his movies suck-ass, you just need to turn on the commentary track in any Boll movie.StevieWonderMk2 said:Exploit? Disturbingly, he uses it EXACTLY as intended. He probably has money up to his neck, so I don't think he is an idiot.TheDoctor455 said:For me its, and that idiot that directed High School Musical (don't care who it is, the simple fact that he agreed to work on that shit proves he is an idiot).
The only two movies of his I've ever liked were Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, movies where there isn't much ass being kicked by Mr. Statham. I just don't like those blockbuster action movies, save for maybe a few like Rambo and Predator.Baby Tea said:(And I love Jason Statham, but he's not much of an actor unless he's kicking the shit out of someone)

Actually, Joel Schumachehoueresteinhauser's other films have been pretty stellar. The Lost Boys might be polarizing, but Falling Down was brilliant. The AI said:Joel Schumacher (turned Tim Burton's legacy of awesome and dark Batman films into a pile of puns, over-the-top action, and dick jokes)
Thank you, that about sums up my feelings. You know as long as we're all being sheep.ravens_nest said:Oh look, more idiots bleating out Michael Bay hate... You forgot "The number 23"... Which was ok if you're not a nitpicker.Rahheemme said:Actually, Joel Schumachehoueresteinhauser's other films have been pretty stellar. You are wrong.
On topic: Uwe Boll is pretty freaking terrible, but he also has crappy actors working for him (And I love Jason Statham, but he's not much of an actor unless he's kicking the shit out of someone). Micheal Bay is fine, so long as you don't take him seriously. IT's like watching a teenager trying to tell you about life: It's cute and you can't help but enjoy it, no matter how wrong they are.
I'll stick with Uwe Boll, though, since Rodriguez showed with El Mariachi that you don't need a huge budget or great actors to make a sweet film.
That has to be one of the most pompous things I've ever read. e.ecanadamus_prime said:Oh boy, another opportunity for people to blindly jump on the Micheal Bay hate bandwagon.Thank you, that about sums up my feelings. "Baa-aa'll raam you"
EDIT: Oh and FYI I LIKED the Micheal Bay Transformers movies and I consider myself quite the intellectual.
