Anything like martyrdom in COD. jesus christ its annoying.
No one could ever tell me martyrdom is not a cheap perk, because you are killing someone without even pressing a button.
And the grenade launcher can kill with so much ease, you dont even have to be accurate.
Last Stand is what it is, it's basically a second life but it's nothing you shouldn't be able to handle.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this. If there is someway in a game that I easily lose to, either I'm not good enough at the game to avoid it or the game is poorly made. Either way it doesn't frustrate me, I can always improve or play a better game.
Sure, a mediocre player will pretty much always lose against an expert player, even if he has superior fire power. What I'm talking about is a single weapon combo, tactic or fighting move that, when used repeatedly, can cause one player to slaughter another player of the same skill level. Raphael's forward triangle move in soul calibur 2, or an smg and plasma pistol in the second halo, stuff like that.
My god, my nephew beat me twice doing nothing but that, and I nearly beat him down...
Even counters were hard to do against that thing, I hated it so much, and people can't say it isn't cheap because they changed it in 3.

hey, does anyone remember the golden gun from goldeneye? that thing was a *****.
I thought golden gun mode was cool to be honest, because the tactics and movements changed when someone got it, now the REAL noob option in that game was oddjob.
All he has to do to you is crouch and cheetah chop you, you couldn't even aim your gun low enough to shoot him for Judas' sake.

Mitsurugi. Have I said enough?
Enough blasphemy? yes. But Mitsurugi was a god on SC2, and no one in my friend circle could beat me when I used him, Seung Mina or Taki.
But now they have bastardised them beyond all recognition in the sequels.
Oh my children, what have they done to you?

Choosing Kilik in Soul Calibur and spamming the 5-poke attack. It's not a particularly difficult strategy to overcome, but man, it's annoying.
yeah, kilik can be a pain. His range is just nasty, making it very hard to get close and do damage. especially if you're using someone like talim who has short range.
Really you would have to do a few parries or high flying moves to stand a chance in my opinion, otherwise you might as well just bend over.
EDIT: I think no other perk in COD4 other than martyrdom was cheap, and was there any downside to Queen's guard (Raphael's weapon) on SC2? Or Seung Mina's Soul Edge for that matter?
