Ever tried getting your finger smashed between a car door?

Yea, it's nice...your nail falls off too...

I've often been told I live a sheltered life when I come up short for pain stories so this post may seem a bit lax. If we're talking physical pain it would be a tie-breaker between the time someone skated over my hand at an icerink or the fairly recent time when my mum appointed herself honourary orthodontist and cut out a section of wire from my braces that was piercing my gums using nailclippers and a small pair of scissors.

It's not a physical pain, but my dog that's been around for 13 years was put down about 8 hours ago, worst thing I've ever been/going through

EDIT:

As for worst physical pain, one time I bit down on a pretzel stick and one my teeth (pretty far back in my mouth, but not molars) literally broke into four pieces (I still honestly don't know why, it must have been completely dead for a while), split right in half in both directions. That wasn't painful at all, but when I was having it removed two of the pieces got stuck, and the dentist pulled out that sharp metal hook and literally dug it into my gums and tore around the pieces till they were loose enough to come out. It took about 2 and a half hours overall and the novicane kept wearing off so I had 4 novicane shots total. Even with the novicane it was pretty fucking bad.

Still doesn't hold a candle to Furburt though, Jesus.

I fell out of a tree and hit my jaw on a folding chair, biting a chunk out of my tongue and getting a concussion.
Shit sucked.

Oh dear god the memories. It made me want to vomit all over my speakers so I wouldn't be able to hear it anymore.

Damn, I really haven't been through anything incredibly painful. Probably the worst thing was burning my finger on my grandmother's curling iron when I was like 8. Had to keep ice on that for about an hour. Sounds pathetic, I know.

Oh holy fucking Jesus, that was terrible.

I just listened to them.

I'm not joking here, no hyperbole, that was honestly almost as bad as the cluster headache, it really was.

Who could hate humanity enough that they would consider releasing those...things upon them?!
Uneducated here, what is Brokencyde? It seems in all your words here like Hell on Earth?

Cluster headache, definitely.

Apparently, it's worse than unanesthetized amputation, and I'd well believe it. By the end of the 2nd day, I wanted to kill myself to end the unbearable pain. There is only one cure. Hallucinogenic drugs.

I'm not kidding, drugs like LSD, Salvia, Mescalin, DMT and Mushrooms are proven to alleviate the pain pretty much instantly.

So I did what any sane man would do, went and got myself some LSD, and took it!

It worked too, pain was pretty much totally gone as soon as it took effect.
im so anti-drug i would just frown and bear it and hope it would go away.

OT: i once stepped on hot charcoal. the funny thing is? ever since i've been a total pyro. XD

In 5th grade, I had surgery on my legs because my muscles were growing wrong.

What they did was cut a few muscles near my heels so they would grow back straight....

....Lets just say it "hurt" was an understatement

The worst pain I've ever been through was on New Year's Day this year when I fell on top of my left arm playing broomball with a bunch of guys from a church I used to go to at 1 o' clock in the morning. Although I didn't break anything, the swelling and pain was so bad that I couldn't bend my arm at the elbow for about a month.

While that is admittedly very tame compared to almost every one else's response, for a guy like me who has never had a serious injury and was only hospitalized once due to an asthma attack, having my left arm erupt in pain whenever I tried to bend it (basically immobilizing the arm) was absolute hell.

they put a tube up your urethra so you don't have to get up to piss...
I collapsed my lung and had tubes all over so I couldnt get up out of the bed
I hate that! They did that to me for my surgery last year. >_<

OT: I had another surgery back when I was 16 for an abscess, and basically they packed it with cotton strips and didn't sew up the incision. Anyway, these cotton strips were changed twice a day without anaesthetic and without pankillers (or mild ones at least). Probably the worst pain I've had to date, hands down.

i have 3

1.i have a little 2 foot wall next to my house and its about 100 years old. I stepped up to get a basketball and i slipped ripping my leg up and denting my bone. It left two 2in scars

2.i was swimming at the local pool and i got a large paint chip under my toe nail and my dad tried removing it with his bare hands and it was SOOOOO painful.

3. i had an ingrown toe nail not that far back and i went to have it checked out. He said it need to be removed. It hand turned a chunk of good skin about this big (__) into infected dead skin and had to be removed with no anesthesia. He squeezed out the puss and blood which was painful. He cut my nail really low which wasnt to bad then took out a metal rod about this big (_) and stuck it under the infected mass and dug it out piece by piece. My dad said to hold his hand and i did (im a big baby :) ) and i left cuts in his hand. My big toe had a chunk missing so while in extreme pain he stuck a bottle of "surgeons" glue into my foot and glue the big hole in my foot back together. The next week a fat kid jumped on it in a game of basketball and re-opened it and now i have to go back again YEAH (sarcasm)

Snapped my tibia on a canoe trip in the great Canadian north. My buddies thought it was sprained so I had to "walk it off". Needless to say, after putting my foot down I didn't try again. The worst part was that we didn't bring pain meds. We finished the trip however, I just had to hop with a pole during our portages.

Either when I was VERY young and had chronic ear infections (ear drums ruptured 3 times) or when I got into a bicycle accident and passed out.
