Nessie's Nine Iron in TF2. I mean seriously Valve, why? Why would you subject yourself to no random crits and -25 max health with no benefits? Or the Atomizer, yeah ok fancy ass triple jump, but that extra jump costs 10 health and you have a 30% slower firing speed and 20% less damage vs players.

Eh? o_O
It's just a reskin of the Eyelander, though, it just doesn't state that, but you get heads nevertheless.

OT: Tanegashima from MGS4. yeah it's fun to throw whirlwinds around for a while, but then it just gets boring after a while that even making people flying up into the air then drop down lifelessly down isn't fun anymore D:

The grenade launcher in Mass Effect 2, who used that thing?! You have a better heavy weapon from the very start! (DLC admittedly but it's FREE!)
Then once you get the collector particle beam all other heavy weapons become moot.

The Crowbar in Deus Ex... if your gonna be using melee why kill the person if you can knock them out at the same range silentley
And yet why do I feel so much better using the crowbar than any other melee weapon short of the Dragon's Tooth sword...?
Because Gordon Freeman made the crowbar the single greatest weapon ever, able to destroy everything from combine soldiers to headcrab zombies. JC Denton, did not read page one of Gordons book

You would think he'd be able to use a crowbar effectively considering he cost millions of dollars to make. Government projects hey? pffft.

Sick sticks. Bleh. You are more likely to slip in puke than subdue your target.

The Gunblade. It is a stupid design (not like a bayonetta where you stab, the gunblade is a hack&slash weapon), everyone who tries to deal a hard blow would break his wrist and I NEVER saw anyone in FF shoot this goddamn thing.
you never fired it? in FF8 theres a move where you hit the trigger on strike, and that vibrates the blade. its not literally a gun+blade. it uses a gun mechanism to vibrate the blade (ore something like that)

Prod from Worms. Although I guess it is hilarious so does that make it best or worst?
When you are right next to another worm and there is a hole just an inch behind them and too hard of a hit will put them on a ledge.......they get real mad at you when they drown by a prod ;)

The Worldslayer from Magic the gathering. Yeah. It kills everything. Including yourself. That makes for a pretty bad weapon. Oh, and the name might not be 100% correct, I don't remember the specifics. I just remember it killing everything.

Varmint Rifle in Fallout: New Vegas.

It felt as if I was playing Morrowind, missing all the time.
If you've got the skill points put in to the gun category and at least the Night Scope attachment it becomes a fairly decent sniping weapon, though I will admit that its not much good as a close quaters weapon.

I personally think that the BB gun is the worst of the Fallout weapons, with the Archimedes laser coming in at a somewhat distant second place. Given the lag time between trigger pull and the shot landing, and how far into the game you get it, the weapon is not much use.
Sure, it'll take down a lone raider or even a pair of them, but it's near useless against tougher enemies (Death Claws and Super Mutants for example). Though firing it is pretty cool I will admit.

I have to say I hate the underbarrel shotgun attachments in Call of Duty. In MGS4 the Masterkey is just another button, so you can use it instantly, but in CoD you have to switch to it, making it basically just another gun.

The Fork of Horripilation when found in Morrowind. Chop damage 1-2, slash damage 1-2, thrust damage 2-3, constant effect drain magicka 200 point on self. F*ck you, Bethesda, f*ck you. The only reason I put up with this shit is for the Spear.

In a lot of games:
Rocket launchers.

They always seem to be either reserved for special anti-helicopter boss sections and basically useless in the rest of the game as there's no ammo to be found for it. Or they do have sufficient ammo to see semi-regular use but they're significantly worse then most other heavy weapons.

I've rarely seen games in which explosive weapons are well balanced.
That is sadly true in a lot of more recent games, but it didn't used to be. There were tons of good rocket launchers and grenade launchers back in the day. I'm not sure what the deal is with stuff like that lately, especially now that the technology's there to make them look pretty, and the physics engines can send things flying properly. I like explosions, dammit.

Oh man, when I was nine I thought that weapon was so cool 'cause you could use TWO of 'em. Then I tried to shoot someone with it. Yeah... at least the ammo was plentiful.

The Boxing Gloves in Fallout: New Vegas. My hands were literally stronger
The boxing gloves caused fatigue damage, they were supposed to stop you killing enemies so you could knock them out instead.

The Chinatown in Black Ops. Its just like the underbarrel launcher, except a delay before firing and it takes up your primary gun slot. They should probably have added the same delay to the underbarrel launcher and it wouldnt have been called a "noob tube".

Starting submachinegun in Unreal Tournament 2003/2004. Or as i would like to call it; the tickle gun. One of UT3's few redeeming qualities is the return of the Enforcer as primary weapon.

So many people already said the BB gun, so I´ll just go with the Straight Raizor from F:NV. Seriously, I only used the fucking thing in level 1, to kill bloatflies. I doubt I can think of a weaker melee weapon... Wait, the handbag from Dead Rising 2. It´s funny, but sucks.

The MIRV from fallout sure its an awesome weapon in theory but its just so useless it fires 7 mini nukes which are quite rare and theres only 3 enemies that aren't killable with the normal fatman which only fires 1 nuke at a time and to top it all of the MIRV has a habit of killing you in the process.

I'd say the Gunblade... mainly because I have no idea how that thing would realistically work...
It doesn't actually shoot bullets. When you pull the trigger, it causes the blade to vibrate, making it do more damage. Thats why you have to pull it in sync with Squall's attacks during his Limit Breaks for more damage.

As for me....

Chinese Pistol and .32 pistol in Fallout 3. Both are rarer, and worse, than your standard 10mm which you find EVERYWHERE (heck, you'll probably have 2 or more just coming out of the Vault). They sell for decent prices though.

The LME? (Bubble Gun, forgot what its really called) in Vanquish. I can think of....2 places in the game where it's useful. Otherwise, its a waste of space.

The starting pistol in Mass Effect 2. Completely outclassed by the Carnifex in every way other than ammo supply. When do you get the Carnifex? On the first real mission most people do. Maybe the second.

The Spear of Loginus in God of War 2. Its got nothing on the Blades or the Hammer.
