I remember beating that game with a friend sitting next to me.

What that ending came up we both exclaimed "Wait what the fuck?!" at the same time.

I mean that is just wrong. It's just... it's like the writers read some bad Bowser/Peach fan fiction and decided it was canon.

I beat the game at about one in a morning the mental images I got kept me up all night.

I am in the middle of Shadow of the Colossus (first time playing surprisingly) and all I think is: All these ancient beings want to do is sleep and some ominous voise from a hole in the ceiling wants me to stab out their kindneys .

Not that it's a bad game, I think it's quite wonderful actually, but I still don't have any justification for the (at this point in time) eight brutal murders I have just commited other than some dead girl and a emotionless protagonist so androgynous that it and the dead girl could be sisters for all I know.

I'm playing KOTOR now (I knew the spoiler before now), and so far I can only vaguely see how I'm the bad guy. My circumstances for being where I was at the beginning are pretty vague, but other than that there's no big evidence I can see. What I mean is that I don't think someone with no outside knowledge could know that plot point where I am in the story. Maybe it's well-explained, but I dunno.

I personally thought that it was one of the most skillfully implemented plot twists I've ever seen in a game. There's plenty of foreshadowing if you look back closely enough (some of the things the council says, the fact that you are able to master Jedi training so quickly, among other things), and yet it still surprised me when the big reveal was pulled.

Actually, reflecting on it, you're right. The visions of Bastila attacking Revan, knowing where the star maps were, yeah. It is well done.

I agree, I knew the spoiler already and it still surprised me.

erm wierdest plot twist in a game.... also in bioshock were it turns out that your not a real person, just a sleeper cell put into the real world for fontaine to call back to rapture if anything happened to him that made me go :0 im not a real person god damn you heres me thinking i crash landed here on accident
