Little things always bug me a lot. Like, I never really understood in Mass Effect why they kept Liara on the ship and let her join the shore party. I mean, she has no military training, and, basically the first thing she does after you rescue her is faint. oO Meh. It's lucky for her she kind of grew on me...

But, then, for that matter, wouldn't Shepard get in serious trouble for getting her freak on with an alien of the same gender who's part of her crew? You know, 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'? Well, I guess being a SPECTRE puts her above the law, in that respect...but still, it made me wonder...

Those are just little gripes, though. There are far stupider plot points than that. Like in Ninety-Nine Nights, they never tell you which character's story is canon, and essentially none of them work together, because they make you play the same campaigns with different characters making the decisions. They barely made any effort to make the different storylines tie together in a way that would have made them all true, which they could have done, StarCraft style. <_<

Speaking of StarCraft, it was kind of silly that the story relied on Tassadar's Carrier getting heavily damaged, considering he didn't lose so much as a hitpoint in my campaign, and I didn't take him anywhere near the Overmind. =P But I can't criticise how awesome that ending was. ^ ^

Halo 2-Where's the rest of the game?

-More snippage-
What about Halo 1?

The flood have been living inside this ring for thousands of years so that just in case they escape the ring will blow up and eliminate their food sources.

OK

But...

What were they eating during that time?

Why were they kept in the haloes anyway rather than simply being destroyed. Surely if wiping out the habitation of several thousand light years around is better than letting them loose it isn't worth the risk of keeping them alive. If you think it would have been hard to destroy them like this, why not just make the halo so that it doesn't destroy EVERYTHING and instead just destroys itself and everything inside it.

Otherwise, congratulations Bungie on making my favourite FPS of all time.

I am in the middle of Shadow of the Colossus (first time playing surprisingly) and all I think is: All these ancient beings want to do is sleep and some ominous voice from a hole in the ceiling wants me to stab out their kidneys

You appear to be suffering from Ceiling Cat.

Uncharted 2

When the demon Yeti things are revealed to be dudes in disguise. I felt like I just got M. Night Shamalamalan'd. But in the end it did actually make practical sense and ultimately I kinda liked it. But still, at that first revealing I was like "What The F*ck?"

Apparently, Andross's spirit has been living inside of a giant stone Krazoa statue ever since getting killed at the end of Star Fox 64. Using the Krazoa Spirits you've been collecting throughout the whole game, he somehow manages to resurrect himself, at which point you shoot off into space to engage in the standard Fox-vs-Giant Head boss fight. Also, Andross has inexplicably become vaguely Jamaican.

Um. Huh?

Yeah. It was bad.

I found it odd that of all the memories that geth probably had, that was one of the very few to survive its death. Pretty conveinient huh? Mine is any game where it turns out you're the hero of legend in the prophesies or whatever. People that turn out to be princesses. Surviving a fall from a great height by landing on a live grenade.

I did not get the controls for that one. I didn't get to experience the story, but the endings I saw REALLY sucked. The canon one most of all.

You're not missing much. The only good that came of it was the addition of Krystal to the team and the Sauria level in Star Fox Assault.

As for multiple endings, I'm reasonably sure Adventures had only one ending. You might be thinking of Star Fox Command, which I thought was equally bad and nonsensical as Adventures.

I'm going to go with... SSBB. They just randomly had Tabuu as the main enemy, after giving no hint that he existed.
I agree with this.

Seriously, did they just make him up? Is he even from anything? What IS he?

Gears of War. I really didn't understand what I was doing or why I was doing it and if Baird was working on that thing the whole time why did they go underground in the first place and what your dad had to do with anything and why did they not even mention General RAAM and then pretend like the end boss battle was super climactic and why they made the game insanely difficult until the last level.

Assassin's Creed had a great story, but the whole Da Vinci Code-ness of it all made me cringe a little. With the next setting actually revolving around poor old Leo, I'm worried it's going to turn into a Dan Brown novel. <_<

So, essentially, all religions are a lie because there's a bunch of ancient, hologram producing machines that were responsible for all appearances of so-called 'miracles', and the Knights Templar secretly continue to control everything in the Universe, even in the future. =P Yeah, seriously, these guys are waaaaaay too into the Da Vinci Code fad.

The ACTUAL end of Eternal Darkness when you see that you were playing right into Mantorok's....hands? The player was just a tool for it to kill off the other major deities so it was super powerful again. Really nice.

Ah, you see, that's because Tali upgraded the 'Deus Ex Machina' ability. All main characters have it. =P Yeah, that was pretty contrived. XD

I also found it kind of hilarious that all of the main characters have 'Mummy & Daddy issues'. Seriously, all their dialogue when you ask about their motivation starts with, "Well, my father was never there for me..." ;) And yet I love that game and its story all the more for it. =D

Far Cry 2.

Oh, this guy royally fucked me over a barrel. Guess I better go kill him.

*several minutes later*

WHY DID I JUST RESTART IN THE ALABAMA BACKWOODS OF AFRICA?

and

Whoa, Quarbanhi, I thought you and your American homeboy were killed by a firing squad?

And... what's with the raised shotguns, eh?

Ah, yes. Right. Adventures was the one that was trying to be Zelda. Didn't play that one, but I did see the ending battle. It sucked.

I appreciate that FF8 tried to rectify some of the plot holes.
I do not appreciate that they rectified said plot holes with absolutely ridiculous fix-ups.

OT: The second half of Condemned. Everything after the start of The Lodge was absolutely UN-Condemned in terms of style and gameplay.

Totally. I mean, the first time I was attacked by a ninja demon with a pair of sticks, I thought Ethan Thomas' brain was rotting with the same disease that affected the birds and he was just going crazy. Then, nope, it turns out there was just an evil, spiky demonic force making Leyland and all the other serial killers and addicts in the world go crazy. oO Way to ruin an awesome game.
