Each time I find a new flaw with Firefox (Ex: some websites not compatible), it makes it up to me with speed, stability and add-ons (Oh AdBlock Plus, how I love you). They improve it with every update, and I really like the last one, which made it so if a plugin crashed, the browser would still continue to work. Before that, it was annoying to go on Youtube, because Adobe Flash player often crashes. Now, I just have to refresh the page. It's all the little details that makes it great.

I use Internet Explorer for reading webcomics and for doing things that I don't want my friends to know about -_-. I'll leave it to you to guess what I mean by that.

But for everything else, I use Safari. This happened after it was automatically installed on my laptop when I installed iTunes, and I was fed up of IE as it kept shutting down, cutting out, without warning whenever I browsed The Escapist. Though that problem has gone, when I tried Safari out I was hooked, and now I use it for everything apart from the above mentioned things. With webcomics, at least, it's easier because I already have a folder in my Favourites tab with the ones I read regularly, so it's easier than trying to do it all over again setting one up in Safari. I read a lot of webcomics...
When you install Firefox, they give you the option to import all your bookmarks from IE.

I've used IE, Opera, Firefox, Chrome...etc. Currently Chrome is my default browser and here's some food for thought:

Customer, (I work a computer store) constantly getting Malware/Spyware/etc on their machine, cleanup, reload, back within weeks reinfected, always used IE.

I got sick of their crap so put on Chrome removed any links to IE, haven't seen them since.

i just cant understand why doesnt microsoft improve the IE??? they certainly have the money....
They do. Their improvements are just Not For You. IE is the browser of choice for the corporate network because it's been designed to be administrator configured and locked down, as opposed to other browsers which are designed for user customisation.

So, no matter what browser you use on your computer at home, at work you'll be on IE.
I see.....i guess its a good point. But u are wrong.....i am using Foxie baby at work :D

Firefox has been pretty reliable. I use that and Chrome, though Chrome doesn't have that much fan support in terms of add ons. I browse this site on Chrome bc it doesn't have a whole lot of secondary sites running ads and other pointless shit. FF blocks other sites that take advantage of DSL speed to ad as much ad shit on as possible FF blocks all this.

Example I just wanted to know the locations of the glyphs on ACII there was a site but it took like 5 seconds to load, and of course ad banners and shit load first. Went to the same page on FF loaded the complete bulk of the page (part I wanted) in 1.5 seconds, and thats why I love FF.

I've never been that attached to my browser, I started out on Netscape 2.something ages and ages and ages ago, stayed with it to 4.0 then switched to IE for a bit, tried 5 or was it 6 of netscape, one with the horrible UI, switched back to IE, tried Opera, tried Mozilla, went back to IE until 8 was released; I used it for about two days and grabbed firefox... It's a bit of a memory hog, but it's decent enough; honestly it's just a computer program, no need to get worked up over it, just use what you like.

Though I will admit that Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with IE8, bloody thing was like the Windows ME of browsers, horrible thing.

I'm using IE to view this site because it came pre-installed on my computer and I don't see the point in changing it.

A browser is a browser. I don't see why people get so critical about this type of thing.

Firefox is my poison.

Can I just say it is BULLSHIT how IE got slapped with those lawsuits for anti competitive behavior when Apple do the same thing with their OS and their browser. Are they going to get a law suit sometime or am I missing something?

I still use IE. Mostly because of "Damn You Muscle Memory" [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DamnYouMuscleMemory]

It's just that when I use chrome, it's faster.

I only use IE if for some reason a website or form won't show correctly. It has been happening less and less so I guess these statistics ring true. Also, Firefox 4 may soon replace my mainstay Chrome for one good reason: Tab management via thumbnails.
