I'm on chrome personally (it's the only web browser that loads webpages at a half decent spped on my Craptop)

I'm not surprised it's fallen that low to be honest. The only reason I think it's still that high is because the older generations (50+) as a generalisation wont bother changing browser from whatever came with their computor in the 80's
/stereotype
The reason its that high is because of the millions of computers in offices that run windows and use IE because they dont want to install another browser on their system. You think 49% of the internet is people over 50?

You left out Opera in the other browser section. Sure, it's not fully compatible with some things, but it's awesome!

I've used Safari ever since it came through with an iTunes update. I use IE for anything Safari can't open (which is rare)

I've been tempted by Chrome, but I've yet to have a problem with safari, so I don't see the point in switching. I used FireFox once, and didn't get on with it. Having to empty the cache every 4 or 5 pages didn't help...

I do not know a single person who uses IE willingly. The only time anyone I know uses IE is at work in cases where they are not allowed to install Firefox (rare, but happens). It does not offer a single advantage over the other web browsers, and lacks some of the features. Basically, I don't see any reason to use IE.

I prefer IE, simply because it is compatable with EVERYTHING.
I'm not quite sure what you're reffering to here since I've had more trouble opening pages with IE than with Firefox.

in Vista and Windows 7, Windows Update is integrated into Control Panel and no longer needs IE.

I use Firefox and so does my Mum :) I'm just loving Firefox 4 and can't wait for it to be out of beta to roll it out across all of my machines.

Aside from the Windows 7 features and the whole "tabs above the web address by default" and "hiding the menu under one button" which makes it look like Opera (by default, you can reverse these decisions fairly easily if you want), there's Firefox Sync as standard, and a neat tab-sorting option. And generally a bit faster to start and close. Although it is a bit buggy (it's a beta at the moment, it's to be expected).

Well obviously readers of a video game website aren't. I'm using Chrome atm. Firefox and I aren't on speak terms right now.
I don't see the connection?

As for me I'm using Chrome, and it is fast as hell.
