I develop a crippling fear of the dark. Because when you hear a noise in the dark you can think of people. When you hear a noise in the dark and you know you're alone in the world it could be anything, and anything is harder to deal with than people.

honestly i just could not take that at all
Yeah. That.
Simply put, without any people in the world, I would break into the local pet shops, let all the animals go free, then break into the sporting goods store, get a gun, put one bullet in it, and do away with myself hoping that the animals can evolve into something better than the human race.

would be pretty awesome
i really like to be alone and explore
so this would be almost a dream come true(if it weren't for those negative effects)

well first i'll have to teach myself to drive
as soon as i'm done with that i'm gonna get as much information out of the internet as long as it is available
mostly information about solar power
once i secured power and transportation i will probably start looking if there really aren't any people around anymore
part because i wouldn't believe it and part because i don't want to embarrass myself when i'm dancing naked through the streets

and then off to explore... to go places where i couldn't go when there were still people around

Make robots that can create more robots to repopulate the Earth, with robots. Only these robots would make a better civilization; somehow, it's a work in progress. While I'm at it I might also shoot for immortality and then explore the universe with a robot-manned, space/pirate ship.

Considering that the lack of people means no electricity, I couldn't play video games (unless I had a Gameboy or something). Instead, I would loot places.
These hypothetical questions (the previous one was "push the button, and 5 random people die while you get whatever you want") are disturbing.

"Well, crap, now what?"

Hopefully I can figure out sustainable farming before the canned goods run out. Boredom will be a definite issue.

Play videogames for a decade, then make test tube babies as well as birthing chambers using ovaries and sperm (mostly mine) from caches. Create my own empire surrounding gaming and pony culture. Then more games.

Well it depends on when this happens really. If it happened today, then I'd probably have to look into finding a way to travel somewhere south, since the winters where I live now are kinda bad, and the only electricity comes from coal powered plants. So...yeah, power would probably go out on day one, which means winter will suck without heat.

So, probably, gather supplies, starting with the necessary stuff, like food, water, medical supplies, and things of that sort. Then likely hit up spots like walmart, best buy, and gamestop to stock up on entertainment, so I'll have something to take my mind off the loneliness. Raid the nearby Amazon warehouse to collect every movie I always wanted to watch or book I've wanted to read, and whatever else catches my eye. Head to different car dealerships and try to find a huge decked out RV, then stock that with everything. Then I'd probably try to track down something like a Real Doll, so when I do go crazy, at least the thing I imagine talking to me is vaguely human like.

After that, eh, probably head west towards Las Vegas or somewhere around there. Figure that the casinos run off of the Hoover Dam, which should be able to run itself and keep pumping electricity for at least awhile, plus I imagine the higher class casinos would have plenty of backup generators in place, so I'll be able to keep gaming on for a bit.

Plus, you know, it's the desert, so I imagine that winter won't be a big deal, plus I never really hear of any natural disasters threatening the area around there, so, no worries about tornado's or hurricanes like I'd have here, or earthquakes really. No, ideally, I think water would be my only concern, but there should be enough places around for me to raid for the bottled stuff that I should be alright.

After all that, I dunno. Learn guitar finally, really learn harmonica, learn piano, watch all those movies I always meant to, get guns, shoot stuff, tear up the desert in hummers and atv's and whatever else tickles my fancy. Raid the nearest army base and play with the really big explosives and tanks and whatnot. Wait until I start getting bored, then head to NORAD in the summer and start launching nukes at places, maybe spell out "Welcome to Earth" across Europe or Asia in giant craters. And before anybody says anything about that, or ask why not do it to Canada or America instead, well, it's because I can potentially drive to anywhere on the North or South American continent, whereas Europe and Asia and...well basically the rest of the world not connected to any road I have access to, well, those places are lost to me.

Seriously.

Sure, I could learn to fly a jet, but landing that thing is a whole different matter, and even finding an airport to land in could be problematic, not to mention that if it's night when I arrive then I'll have to deal with landing in a dark and unlit place, most likely. So...yeah, jets are out, which leaves ships. I don't know how to sail a ship, I know I could learn, but even then I'm taking risks on being lost or stranded at sea. Plus most ships require an entire crew to move, so if I take anything larger than a sailboat, well, it's probably breaking down in the middle of the ocean.

...So, yeah, going to lament never getting to visit Europe.

Oh, and last, but certainly not least, I will pee on and off of so many friggin' things. Once I have built up a nice base of operations in Vegas, I will travel the world (that I can comfortably access) just peeing on every famous landmark and site, and probably on quite a bit of art too, though with that I'll stick mostly to the statues since it'd kinda ruin the paintings.

Wait, is this like that Spongebob episode where everyone disappeared because they all needed a vacation from me? I'd guess I'd just wait it out for a while...

Does everything still work? I have no idea how to keep electricity going all by myself...and I'm a horrible cook.

There's been a lot of games I'd wanted to play, books to read...

If everyone really did vanish.... hopefully the elevator in the Empire State building still goes to the top. I have a myth to test out.

The problem is with no one to maintain power plants and such all electricity would go off so no video games (also did anyone in this thread happen to catch Life After People a few years ago, that's where I learned that) I suppose I would continue to care for my two dogs and my cat. I would probably roam the country looting all the least perishable food I could get and I would probably take some cars for joyrides. I'd also look for a way to hook a generator up to my house but I'd probably be unsuccessful.

Well, after the obligatory mourning period, to start I'd "Build" my ideal home, and by that I mean steal everything from a huge-by-large flat screen, a massive stereo system, top-of-the-line computer, a few cars, some awesome furniture, and find some decently-sized, but not overtly huge home to put it all in; I don't want it too large or the fact that I'm all alone will settle in all the faster. Of course, it goes without saying I'd get a copy of every game currently in existence, a few guns, maybe a security system so that I can see when some dangerous critter decides to come waltzing around, and a few dozen-hundred generators since electricity will probably become scarce after a while.

After that...I think I'd be good for a pretty long while. I'd say I'd be able to live for about a month or so on perishables, at least five years or so on frozen items, and then probably a good ten years after that on canned food, give or take. I tend to play a LOT of single-player, and I've been more or less alone for a great portion of my life. As to how long it will take for me to lose my mind...I feel I've already lost a fair amount of it already, so as long as I have video games I'll be good. It's when I finally run out of electricity and fuel to power the generators that I'll finally lose it and go on a murderous rampage, killing every living thing and destroying every standing structure in my path.

Pretty much this, I would just go adventuring. I'm pretty much a loner anyway so I don't think I'd crazy or anything. I'd be far to busy exploring all the places. I'd probably get a cat or a dog or somthing to keep me company.

Oh and I'm handily a woman so I'd go find a sperm bank.

I would attempt to reproduce via budding.
If that didn't work, then I'd try and clone myself with some abandoned science labs or something, though I probably wouldn't be able to figure out how. After that I'd just derp around until I ran out of stuff to eat I guess.

1. Gather large stacks of books
2. Accidentally drop and break glasses
3. Say "That's not fair, there was finally time, that's not fair!"
4. Listen to Rod Serling narrate
